The Hunt Begins! - Update 5 - SCENES on Island 286!!!

Tomorrow my first Villager will have left (Laterz Al)

The hunt then begins for his replacement, I have sufficient NMTs to get in one of my Dreamies and I will stop at NOTHING to land one of them tomorrow (I’m getting my Daughter to Island hop for me lol) I’ve narrowed it down to one of the following....

Audie
Apollo
Roald
Whitney

I’m not 100% on Whitney as I already have Fang so don’t want a Wolf overload, and I’ve never met Roald, I just think they look cool!

What do people think my chances are? Will I be posting here at this time tomorrow with my ultimate Dreamy Beau on the way?

So I’m 50 Islands down and as yet not encountered one of my 6 Dreamies, my resolve was severely tested when on Island 2 I met Stitches for the first time though! And also I very nearly took Keaton, who I loved in New Leaf but I really want to meet Apollo! The first 50 if anyone’s interested -

With 500 NMT, I'm sure you can get at least 1 or 2. You could also consider opening up one of those villager cycling shops to earn more NMT if you get some rare villagers.

Have you looked at the breakdown of how villager chances are determined? The game rolls for species first then the individual villager. So for species with lots of villagers, they can have pretty low chances.
So for Raymond for example...
1 out of species X 1 out of 24 cats = 0.1%
Maybe this is too analytical and might not do much for morale but I think its interesting!

5/35 to land on a species you want. 1/23 in cats, 2/11 in wolves, 1/10 in deer, 1/13 in penguins, 1/9 in eagles.
Better than most who are looking for 2+ in one species at least.

Good luck! I'm sure you can get a few of them, and you can probably get quite a bit of materials/fruit if you're up for actually farming the islands (no one ever is though lol)
