New leaf streetpass changing consoles

Hi so it's my birthday soon (yay) and I have asked for the new 3ds xl happy home designer edition bundle
I was wondering i have a 3ds xl at the moment and a physical copy of new leaf. I'm worried about changing the console I play new leaf on? I have a bronze streetpass badge at the moment will this be lost when I put my physical copy of new leaf in the new hha ds xl ? Will the streetpass start all over again and I'll lose my badge?

No I don't think it will, I have been switching with my ds's and nothing like that has happened.
