Hybrid,WHY YOU NO GROW ;~; !?!?

So I tried to plant them in rows.For example if it was red and yellow tulips,it would be like

Or the classic checkerboard pattern diagonally

O:Empty Space

I also watered them every day.And I planted fertilizer near them.But it seems hybrids don't like me ;~: Por que hybrids!?!?

Hybrids are incredibly random. I haven't had any grow for 2 weeks now, yet at the start of the game I had multiple almost daily.

trying to breed. don't water anything else. when
i watered every flower in my town, i wouldn't
get hybrids very often. now i only water my
plot of hybrid red/orange roses and they give
me black roses every day.

Orange is so easy. Well, orange roses, I mean. I've made one orange cosmo before too. That's it, though.
Blue pansies have been challenging, but I have breeded(?) 3. Other blue things are challenging.

I have two blue Pansies that have just been sitting diagonally from each other for about three weeks now with no offspring, LOL. Literally the only attempt I've made at purposely breeding any hybrids for months now, and it's not working out so well.
