Ever since the new update, fish have been swimming away just when I simply walk by O: Has it always been like that? It bothers me so much ;-;

I don't have an answer here, but I did notice this happening too. However, it was only in a tour on the island (a non-fishing one). I haven't noticed it elsewhere.

Just tested this in two towns, one updated, one not. No skittish fish encountered. Caught a Pond Smelt in each. What are you wearing? (Wait! That doesn't sound quite right.)

I didn't notice it, my town is fine... maybe it's just a temporary thing?

all normal in my town too never noticed a different behaviour

I tried this earlier, and it didn't happen, yet I did it a few minutes ago, and it did! O:

Fun fact -- if you glitch into the river and walk near fish, they run away. So maybe the game is detecting you as too close.
