This is technically my second town because I deleted the one I made the day the game came out.
My original Island was named Kyoshi Bay because I absolutely adore Avatar Kyoshi from ATLA, I rewatched every scene she was in when I was little.
I named this one Arcadia because
- I like how Arcadia sounds
- It has Arcade in it, and I love Arcades
- Arcadia Bay from Life Is Strange
- I am from an East Bay Area, and having my full unofficial title for my town be East Arcadia Bay makes me happy

This is my current layout, I have no idea if I like what I have terraformed but the process of terraforming is so slow and annoying that I would rather live with it than screw around with any more terraforming. I love parts of it, I hate parts of it, and idk what to change. I'm just stickin to it!

This is how my villager looks right now, it's technically her halloween costume. I love the lolita style hair (I am a lolita irl) and I have curly hair and bangs, so even though the straight bangs aren't accurate I like this more than than the other curly hair options.

First step toward making my island usable: putting more ramps in! I only have 5, which is not enough.
This is a natural ramp and will be done tomorrow, which is great. Yayyyy moneyyyy

While taking a break from work I decided to scan in my amiibo cards so I could get the furniture and clothing from it, so I could do it all at once I went to Harvey's Phototopia for the first time.

I did not like it, it's weird how the villagers just stand there, empty. They don't react and they don't talk to you. I thought they'd have some basic dialogue like "Ready to take some pictures!" but no, they just stare into the void. Truly bizzare.

I also learned that apparently this is how you get posters, that's cool. I never bothered to figure it out lol

My current in-game bedroom! With the gamer desk playing an otome game, lore accurate. I feel like this could be better or more accurate to my *dream bedroom*, but idk. I'm considering making one room an office and one room a bedroom, but I don't think i'll do that yet. If at all.

Said goodbye to Nailah today, one of my ocs who I added to my town because I wanted another house to decorate. Then I never decorated the house or played as her at all. I realized that her house is just in the way and that I would be happier if it wasn't there at all, I currently have all of my villagers on the beach still. I made Nailah's profile before afro hairstyles were added to the game, and if she wasn't I probably would have used the same hairstyle I chose back then because in her design she has box braids. Nailah having very long hair is important to her character (and me) (check my art thread to see her design )

My New Halloween room! In every AC game I always have a Halloween room and a Christmas room.
(In ACNL my christmas room is the living room/main room lol)
I think i'll move the rest of the halloween stuff I have outside in here, I tried decorating outside for one of the Haunted Carnival events, but I got frustrated so I gave up.
This is what I managed to do then:

I was not pleased. Looking at it a few weeks later though, it's not as bad as I thought that it was.
Still not happy with it though.

Filled this spot on the map where I'm standing

Now that Nailah's house isn't in the way, I filled the hole and changed the waterfall and it's little river. I tend to make rivers thin so I can jump over them.
I also fixed the weird water line in the B2 square on my map, and I'm gonna move Timmy and Tommy's more to the left.
Billy now lives in the A5 square, and Cranston is going to be his neighbor to the right!

The Night Owl Ordinance does nothing! Why is everything cloes it's only 11 pm! Grrrr
This feels way earlier than it did in New Leaf, so I just checked the hours when you have the Night Owl Ordinence compared to ACNH.
In New Leaf Timmy and Tommy's store closes at minimum 2 hours larer, up to 5 hours later at 5 am when it's upgraded to T&T Mart

-Nookling Junction: 8:00am - 12:00am (2 hours later)
-T&T Mart: 7:00am - 5:00am (5 hours later)
-Super T&T: 9:00am - 12:00am (4 hours later)
-T.I.Y.: 10:00am - 3:00am (4 hours later)
-T&T Emporium: 9:00am - 12:00am (3 hours later)
While the Able Sister's closes at midnight, which is 3 hours later.

But it New Horizons, it does BASICALLY NOTHING
It's:
-Nook's Cranny: 8:00am - 11:00pm (1 hour later)
-Able Sisters: 9:00am - 10:00pm (1 hour later)

ONLY AN HOUR LATER? THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING! I'm changing the ordinance, this is such a waste.

Had a good 24 hours, and I once again feel directionless and like there is nothing to do in this game. I made some fences, couldn't find a place for them. It's stupid frustrating and diffucult to get furniture, but getting furniture and decorating with it is like the only thing to do. Maybe I'll have fun next week with the Harvest Fest. I hope so !

Finally realized why the 9pm theme was the bane of my existence, I always play at night and the only way to have access to both the shops before they close AND play as late as possible is to play at 9pm, which unfortunately for me is the worst hourly theme ever and genuinely makes me angry to listen to. I guess I'll be time traveling more than I would like to.

Last night and today on my Island I decorated the area outside my house and started to fix an area that was poorly and strangely terraformed.

I'm turning this area into an orchard and i'm gonna have some villager homes in front of the orchard i think

Starting to regret telling Cyd he can leave, the more I talk to him the more I like him. I REALLY wish Julian would leave, I've wanted him gone for 3 years now (ugh)

Okay so I have wanted Julian gone for 3 years now. I hate him. I want him out. And as much as I hate hititng my villagers and feel mean doing it, I read somewhere that the villagers with the lowest friendship will say they want to move out. So I guess I'm just gonna beat him up with my net until then, sorry Julian.

Also, this is my outfit for the week! I like it, very fall!

Glad there's a least some snarky dialogue in this game though
I'm super lazy and didn't wanna go all the way to the airport to close the gates just so I could update my dream address so I just closed the game and decided I'll do it later. Like why can't I just call and ask him to close the gates?
Why can't you call villagers in this game. You all have phones. You could use a megaphone in New Leaf to find people let me call them I don't wanna chase these people down !!
