my methods include doing breathing wxercises (lol or i try to bc my therapist pld me to but it diesnt work at All), taking a shower, trying to find a distraction etc. if i get anxious in a certain situation i'll try to get out of there. with social anxiety i just try to avoid situations that i know will trigger my anxiety
Anything with water will calm me down, so like a bath or swimming was always good, doing something artsy like drawing or writing, and listening to music all help me. Recently I've gotten really into stim toys too because they distract and calm me down which is really nice, I really enjoy kinetic sand and slime I can just play with them until I calm down and it helps me a lot.
Some other things I do when I am stressed or anxious are combing through my hair with my fingers and cleaning under my finger nails... I don't know why I do them but it usually helps
I love to write. Usually I vent my feelings in poetry, so when people read it they're like "that's depressing". But hey, it works I love to share my poetry too.
