Additional Amiibo Compatibility?

As of now for New Leaf, there's a nice wide range compatible Amiibos this game has to offer. Of course that doesn't cover ALL of the possible official Amiibos ever made.
So my question is which Amiibo would ya want to be compatible, and what would it do to the game? Ideally the addition would not add a functionally exclusive item, but either purely decorative items or just reskins of exisitin' functional items like the shovel, axe, net, etc.

I would add all the Smash Amiibos in, but I'd make it so that when Wisp scans it he'll just give a matchin' item that corresponds with the figure. I think that if EVERY Smash Amiibo got a villager equivalent would be a bit too much.

I love this. I'd love some additional Nintendo items, and linking them to the amiibos is a great idea.

I know there aren't many Pokemon amiibos, and the ones we do have are linked to Smash Bros, but I'd love some Pokemon furniture and villagers. If Pikachu were available to have as a villager, I would be all over that. Same goes for the original starters.

I agree that Pokemon are kinda underrepresent'd in Amiibos, but I think it's because with THAT many possible species to become figures only a few can make the cut.
I could imagine Pokemon could get the Sanrio treatment and get cards base'd of the certain specie. So for the Pokemon to animal, here are my guesses:
Pikachu - Mouse
Jigglypuff - Cub?
Charizard - Alligator
Lucario - Dog
Greninja - Frog
Mewtwo - ???

I have NO idea what Mewtwo should be. As long it's not a Gorilla, I'm fine with that.
That Gorilla ruin'd the Hello Kitty theme villager...
