Skyloft, because it's my favorite village in the Zelda universe.

Nimklin. I wanted to try and think up a unique name, so I came up with that from the top of my head. Sounded very town-like too and I like it.

cerezo, because there's an area in rf4 called sercerezo hill and I liked the way cerezo sounded. plus, I believe it means cherry?

Pripyat, after the city in Ukraine abandoned due to the Chernobyl disaster in 1986.
The animals in my town can talk because the radiation mutated them.
I know that's not realistic, but neither is being in debt to a tanuki.

My town is called kingdom because well, I was going to do a princess themed town... With a dark twist... My mayor is called princes... I am going to have a basement in every house... But there is something horrible in there... But the darkest basement is going to be in the cafe XD with a horror creppy... Old kitchen! XD something like that...

My main town is named LuzDale because I decided to name a town after light in Spanish, as I was going to put a lot of flowers in it. My secondary town is named YumStar because I was hungry for sweets at the time.

My town is named Amour. It means "love" in French. I just thought it sounded pretty.

I'm a diehard Fast & Furious fan, I own all the movies & I've seen all them all a gazillion times...My first town is named Torretto after Vin Diesel's character. I didn't realize until way after I'd started the town & put in some time that I misspelled the name & put too many R's in it. I've since started a new permanent town on my second cartridge with the proper spelling of Toretto. Dreamies & items will eventually be moved over, as I build up the new Toretto...

My cycle towns have all been named Woodbury, since my other favorite show is The Walking Dead. Once the original Torretto is demolished, Woodbury will rise again to cycle villagers to new homes.
