Your town name & why

My current town's name is Astra, because I am into astrology, astronomy, and astral travel. I just love the town name.

My past town names were...

? Rapture - 1st New Leaf town, named after the underwater city in BioShock.
? Starfall - 2nd and 3rd New Leaf town. Just thought it sounded cool.
? Astra - 4th and current New Leaf town, named because I am into astrology and astral travel fascinates me.

And in City Folk I only had 1 town...
? Nautilus - Taken from the city in Final Fantasy 13.

In Wild World I had several towns but all used the same name...
? Moonside - Named after the weird city in Earthbound.

And in the original Animal Crossing I had a few towns of the same name...
? Aschat - A town name I created for a novel I was writing at the time.
 
I have two towns, one is Crouton ( I liked the way it sounded & couldn't think of anything else) and the other Paisley (I like paisley designs). Also have a cycling town called Lavdale (my character's name is Lavender).
 
I named my town Dawnstar after one of the towns in the game Skyrim, one of my favorite games. I am a fan of the previous Elder Scrolls games as well, but for some reason that name Dawnstar just stuck with me. I also have a second town that I've just started and named it Amethyst after my birth stone. I like how the word looks and I love shades of the color purple. xD
 
I named my town Jovalia...which I eventually remembered where 'joval' came from! I was thinking of jovial....y'know...it means 'cheerful and friendly'. But apparently my brain decided to leave out the i and so Jovalia was born! I adore the name and the more I say it and type it the more I love it!
 
I named my town 'Sakura' in homage to Kyouko Sakura from Madoka Magica! I've always named my town named after things from an anime. For the past 3 games I've always called my town Koriko, the town in Kiki's Delivery Service but I decided it was time for a change. I still totally want Kiki in my town though.

I did come very close to naming it Tokyo-3 though. Because Evangelion.
 
I called my town Skittles because I've always called it that since Animal Crossing Wild World. I don't even like them any more but I thought I'd stick with it, lol! I also have a second town called Meadows because the street I live on is called *** Meadows. :)
 
Keiros. It's a play on the Japanese word for pathway. It sounded nice at the time because I fancied ACNL as forging my own path in my town and the journey that the game would take me on.
 
I named my town Tinytown because A) I always used that name in the pervious ames, and B) My town Is really small. :D
Personally, I think my town name is not only suiting, but really adorable name for my town too! XD
 
My town is Cinnabar, it's a town from the original Pokemon games/anime. I love Pokemon soo much and wanted a piece of it with me in ACNL! Plus I think it sounds pretty neat too.
 
i named my Triple H after my favorite wwe wrestler.that was plan to name my town that before i ever got the game.
 
Bee Town bc it was my brother's game and 3DS but he grew tired of it once he got an Xbox 360 so the possession of the 3DS and game shifted to me and I was going to reset but he/we had come so far in the game and Bob was already in my town so I didn't bother. But I wish there was an option to change town name/mayor.
 
My town's name is Cloud, because it's meant to be peaceful, serene, and relaxing. ^^
