but in all seriousness it just annoys me when people have a negative attitude towards it. Mainly because I "cheat" on my second game to help people on other forums get their dreamies instantly {for free} without worrying someone will outbid them etc. It's fine to say you don't agree with it, but this game is difficult to play without an advantage, even a cycling town is still an advantage when you think about it

Unless you play like one hour a day, playing ACNL day by day is really boring and once you do the basic everyday tasks there isn't much else to do.

Don't really care. I used a bit of duping for myself to get enough shrubs to landscape my one town and that's just because I got really impatient.
Yeah I guess xD.
I know but it gets boring for me if I just cheat through it. Games are meant to be difficult. A cycling town doesn't give me a advantage, how? Lol.

It's just my personal opinion. I don't think Nintendo made the game so people could buy two copies and make one a town for cycling. And most people who have cycling towns do it to either make money, or get a villager they want quicker. It's an advantage because the game isn't intended to be played with another copy, people do it to make things easier
I make money but I spend it on the forum stuff (mostly art)

I don't really have any dreamies I need to get and I'm fine with not having every single items or millions of bells. I don't need my town to be nicely landscaped, and I don't care if a villager takes out a tree or two. So, because of my play style there's just no reason for me to really use duplicating, and it just seems like a hassle. But I've noticed the way a lot of people play is that they need to have everything they want in their town, and they need it to be perfect. So yeah, in that case duplicating makes sense for them. I don't care much in any case, as long as they're not using those items to rip off other players or whatever.

I think duping is "cheating" because it is obviously a glitch that the game developers did not intend to happen. This is different than TTing which is a game menu option and thus is not really cheating. That said, I think duping is a good thing because ACNL isn't a competitive game so no one is really harming anyone else by duping. A lot of people duplicate for good reasons like to give items to other people. I don't really care if people sell their duped items to be honest because they usually offer things like DLC and holiday items that most people can only get by buying from others and dupers are able to sell for a lot less than people who don't dupe. I see it as a win-win for everyone. Since people can't sell things that have any real world value anymore on this site, I don't care if someone sells duped items for TBT because they can't really buy anything with it except other ACNL items and collectibles on this site. If you look at the Re-Tail forum, about 90% of threads are buying threads. Someone has to do the selling, and people who are willing and able to dupe or hack are often the people who come through to meet the demand. So I don't see dupers as cheaters as much as I see them as "providers" for the community. Everyone wants an afternoon tea set in their house, and the only reason there are enough to go around is because of duplicating and hacking.

I don't know how to dupe or plan on trying to learn. If someone else dupes that fine with me because it's their game.
You never know when buying a item online if it's a real or a duped item.
I have extra towns that are real ones. They're not cycling towns but set in a different season. It's been 2 years playing and I didn't want to play 4 Pave day in one night. That's too much. The extra towns give me rooms to add all the furniture and decorate them different.

I had an Action Replay with Wild World just to make my town pretty. I only used it to place trees and flowers exactly where I wanted them. At first. Then of course I was like ooh I can just decorate my whole house and stuff so I started to abuse it a bit. I had the crown and the throne and all kinds of fancy stuff. Full fossils in my house. Idk.
With New Leaf I don't even like picking up bells people try to give me in other towns. Some have had acres of 99k bells and they're like take as many as you want and I'm like naaahh I'm good lol. I want to work my way through this one this time. I got really bored getting everything I wanted in a day last time with WW.
I don't time travel either.
