Why Do/Don't You Time Travel?

I TT because sometimes I think things move a bit too slow, or I want to do something that requires a specific time of day, or I just use it to try and get villagers I don't like out to make room.

this way it won't get boring. Playing everyday 1 hour or something will make the game balanced.

I TT sometimes to a specific time of day or to get villagers out, but for the most part I don't. I think it ruins some of the fun of the game. I prefer to see my town grow day by day and make progress a little bit at a time. It can get slow at times, but I can always find something to do if need be, especially with these forums.

I do! Now less then before, but a year ago, when I just restarted my town I was on an internship so it was almost impossible for me to play every day. -.-

I ony do it when I feel it's necessary. Like getting a villager out to make room for when I get a new villager from someone, or if I miss an appointment for a house visit with a villager or something. I try to keep away from tting over a week.

I don't really time travel. Way back when when I was playing the Gamecube version even up through the Wii version, I would do it occasionally, or when I started a town to get the upgrades sooner. But with NL I won't. I like the day by day and getting my stuff patiently. I don't want to take away the excitement of the game.

I don't care anymore it got bored and plus u lose dreamies and favourite villagers so I just don't do it anymore it is old.

I TT ahead sometimes but I try to keep it under 12 hours difference. Sometimes I'll TT if it's night time irl and I want it to be daytime in game or vise versa. Also, I may TT to the next day only if theres an event or something that I would miss if I waited for the next day.
I don't like to TT too far because I've lost two of my favorite villagers that way :(

I time travel because I'm busy a lot and I don't always have a lot of time to play. On days when I can only play for a bit late at night, it's just more fun to be able to use that time to talk to my villagers and shop, and otherwise the shops would be closed and most villagers would be asleep. Sometimes I can't play the game for a really long time and time travelling keeps me from losing my villagers. It's not a big deal for me, people should do what they find more convenient and fun. It's a feature for a reason.

Mostly when I want to redo my town and see results. Like add/demolish pwps, and landscaping (bc I usually replant things often)

I used to time travel to make up for days that I couldn't play.

I restarted my town two days ago, and I am trying to stick to never TTing in this play through. I want a bit of a challenge. The only bad thing is that I had to sacrifice having the beautiful ordinance for the night owl one, since I have work til 10PM. Want to keep it on real time also.

I was really against it at first. I wanted to experience the game as it was intended to be played. So I went for the first 3-4 months without time traveling. I'm glad I did that. But after I got the last fashion check and the Emporium was open, I started time traveling...and never stopped! It just seems to me that once I started doing it, I couldn't stop. There was always an excuse or reason to do it. And since I'd been able to avoid it for the first few months, I didn't feel bad/guilty/whatever about doing it.

I actually don't think it's cheating or anything. Who cares, you play your game however you want. I mean looking up info on the internet or asking people advice could also be considered cheating. But to me, time traveling and even resetting are perfectly acceptable things to do...as acceptable as trading, giving/receiving gifts or help from friends, trading for villagers, etc.

The only concern is that time traveling promotes impatience. If you want a leisurely and relaxing game experience, to always have something to look forward to...then I think time traveling ruins that a little. I'm a very impatient person, and I'm not too proud of that, so I definitely think once I tapped into letting that monster loose, I just never bothered to reel it in ever again. It still took me forever to finish all the goals I'd set for myself in the game, but honestly, without time traveling there are many of the goals that would have NEVER been accomplished.

the only time i do/will ever time travel is to get rid of/obtain villagers, i have gained 4 of my dreamies this week all thanks to time traveling! and its good that i don't do turnips lol because they will spoil, but I'm like paranoid now that my current villagers will now randomly move out because by time-traveling i have basically gone days with out speaking to them when in fact i have played like everyday

Time Traveling has become a part of me trying to build my town to what I want it to be, and even today I'm not finished. Thinking just how much I'd have to deal if I didn't TT to build my town, I'm kinda shuddering. It'd bore me up before I'd even finish. I plan on stopping when I'm finally finished though.

Now I do, since my town got accidentally restarted and I'm kinda rushing along the two months of playing I've lost. But when I get to the real date, I'm going to stop it.

It's not my normal play style, but I did break my no TT rule recently just so that I could move someone out and adopt a dreamie in. I tried just waiting for them to ping naturally at first, and finally lost patience because it took SOOOOO long and no one I wanted to move out ever pinged >_< I plan to continue time traveling until I get my last 3 dreamies.

I honestly have just started time travelling. Because I need more bells to make my house bigger, my mate told me about the time travelling. I got worried at first with the weeds being grown and all, but because I have the beautiful town ordinance apparently, they wouldn't be there, as the residents pluck them. So, I was happy about it. I just do it to obtain more money.

I used to do a lot of time travelling to cycle villagers. But since I got all my dream villagers, I only do TT if I didn't play for several days to prevent them from accidentally moving out. Oh and sometimes I also do it when I miss an important event.
