Why Do/Don't You Time Travel?

I time travel because I'm a bit impatient in my game.
I only do it day by day though. I also time travel when a villager is in boxes and has already found a new home, but mainly I TT so I can start a new day/do new things around my town.
I have tried to play in real-time for awhile, however I couldn't. I also time travel sometimes (rarely now) to after 7pm to go to the island and catch some beetles and sharks.

I have two towns, one real time and one TT'd. So I'm lucky to have the best of both worlds!
The real time one is to enjoy the slow daily pace, to enjoy holiday events with friends and because it doesn't use the Beautiful Ordinance despite having ALOT of flowers to water daily (badge collector, so need to weed and I have Bell Boom to make bells).

My second town is more of a show town and I don't play it daily. When I do play, I often do a clump of TTing to progress construction, breed hybrids, shift villagers, turnip prices, to grow perfect fruits en masse (which are sold in my other town on premium days) and collect items. Or even just enjoy a different season, nice to see grass while my main town and irl is wrapped up in winter. :)

I don't TT, not for any particular reason (I've TT'd before in previous versions of the game), but just because I don't really feel the need to (yet).

I time travel very selectively, like when an unwanted villager is moving out. I've had several TT accidents, and one cost me a dreamie. So now I'm super careful about it.

I tt all the time. I often pick a season and stay in it for a while (my favorites are spring and fall) by playing through the season and then jumping back to the beginning of when the grass changed. but I tt for all kinds of reasons. I go day by day a lot or I'll jump to find a seasonal item I want or play a holiday I feel like playing. I get far too restless to stay real time although I would likely have more control over how much time I spend on the game if I didn't tt. I've never had problems with villagers because I never tt forward more than 2 days without checking for people looking to move out unless I've just denied a move-out request that day.

I never TT because the unique feature of AC as a game that runs in real time even when you're not playing it is something that has always drawn me to the series. I find it a lot of fun to experience the game day by day, month by month, in parallel to real life. Seeing the leaves change color... Villagers talking about the seasons and holidays throughout the year... who miss me if I leave them for a long time. It makes my town feel more alive, and more important. It's also gratifying to me to wait with patience for things rather than rushing them, which makes me a lot more proud of my town than I would be if I took shortcuts, extends my enjoyment of the game, and also let me take a long time to make decisions (for example the placement of permanent PWPs) and overall let my town grow organically with a sort of flowing acceptance rather than to a predetermined layout.

In my first few weeks of owning the game I time-traveled a lot because I wanted to keep playing and was running out of stuff to do in a single day (in retrospect I regret this a little because I ended up completing a lot of things in the game really fast when I could have made them last longer). Later on down the road I time-traveled less because I didn't really have a reason for it. When I do it now it's mostly setting the clock to 5 pm so stuff from Nook's will be delivered. On rare occasions when I'm not too lazy I'll TT back to an event I missed and do it so I can get the item or whatever. Oh yeah and when I was growing hybrids I TT'd to get them faster. :V I never did any huge jumps in time though, even with the Beautiful Town Ordinance.

I have never time travelled. For me it would ruin the whole experience. I'm eager to get more items and grow hybrids, etc but I like the anticipation and I can wait for those things. I often play after the shops are closed so I take that time to design or go to the Island.

I TT on Eclair because I play a lot so after a few hours I kinda run out of things to do and move on to the next day. Usually its just day by day though back when I first got the game I traveled back in time to spring to get the bow wig from Gracie. At first just for myself but when I noticed I was one of the first people to unlock Gracie's on TBT and that Gracie items were selling for a lot I ended up staying in Spring for a while to make more bells. Made maybe 5 millions this way which was a lot at the time because the game was still new and duping was unheard of. So no inflation.

I don't TT on Hell because I'm doing the one year challenge and want to follow the challenge rules. Sometimes I get the urge to do it because Im tired of the snow. But then I remember that this is the longest I've played ACNL without TT (27 days) so I keep going to see how long I can last.

Both playstyles are equally fun to me though!

i tt'd a lot upon first starting the game so i could get access to the island, pay off home loans, and get my second character/path mule settled. i stopped time travelling after that but i think i'm going to start again while i work on fixing my town up, especially since i'm probably gonna plot reset... xc

I lasted two days without TT. I am swearing up and down that if I get a second copy of the game, I am not going to TT, buy dreamies, or anything, and just play the game naturally. Let's see how it goes.

I time-travel occasionally, usually just rewinding some hours back, at most going forward one day at a time, which I did only to hurry my mayor's tan. Otherwise, I time-travel because I'm active at odd hours but I want to keep my Beautiful Town ordinance in effect.

I do tt. Not on schooldays, because I don't have time to check AC. I have vacation now, so I tt a lot. I am very impatient but I am planning on stoppin when I got perfect town rating and everything accomplished. That will defenitly take awhile.. On my 2nd copy I am planning on playing 'normal' but I am still looking for a map lol

I don't usually TT, but if, for instance, I want to campsite/plot reset, or get a villager who's already going to move out quickly, then I will. I have considered TT'ing by a few hours just so I can have the Beautiful Town ordinance and also go to ReTail before 9 AM, since I leave the house at 6 AM.

I hate it when people say TT'ing is cheating, though. For one, they actually added an option to do it in the game, and on top of that, if you TT using the system clock, it messes up all the time-based events in every other game.

When I first got the game I TT'd some, especially on days when I didn't get to play until right before bed, by then all the shops were closed, so I'd TT back a couple of hours. But having a lot of free time I don't TT anymore. Mostly it's because I like looking forward to getting to play more tomorrow and do more things tomorrow. Kind of like the night before xmas, that excited waiting to get to open the presents kind of feeling, I enjoy it :D

I TT because I restarted and want to level the ground between my old and new town. As soon as I get everyone from my old town to move into my new one, I will stop. Maybe. My TT rate varies from day to day, somedays I'll TT only once, other days I'll TT an entire month. (I do TT day by day) It depends! I have fun with it nonetheless, but I can see some people burning out very quickly from the game by doing that.
