Why Do/Don't You Time Travel?

I TT just to get Dreamies. Other than that I actually enjoy watching things slowly developed.

Because I don't play in a while mostly due to life, other things, other games, and New Leaf gets incredibly boring after a while.

Not to mention, I don't want to lose any of my villagers. (Except Mott, he's leaving soon.)

I TT because I have to restock balloons for my store :P this means I usually only TT one or two days a time. But before I got any of my dreamies, I TT'ed to the year 2048 in my game just to get more roses. It was worth pulling the weeds, and I had no dreamies to lose.

Now I'm pretty cautious with it and I make sure I talk to all my fave villagers between TT'ing. Though, today I did lose Francine in a TT incident, so I obviously wasn't as cautious this time. It's chill though, I'll get her back eventually.

I don't because I don't want to risk dreamies moving.

As well, I just don't need to move through the game that fast. I just don't feel the need to TT really, unless I'm trying to make villagers move.

Nintendo did intend to put in Time Traveling as a feature in ACNL, but they didn't intend to have people use that feature for time traveling. It's still funny that people still abuse that feature. I don't see it going away in the future.
Yeah, I don't think changing the time will be taken away from AC. On a basic requirement level, people can travel across time zone and will need to change time and, or, date to match accordingly. On a gameplay level, if an annual event is missed I wouldn't blame anyone for TT back for it, waiting a whole year would suck lol

When I first bought the game I didn't TT mostly because I was scared of the consequences and all hahah but after a while I decided to try it out.. and now... I.. can't stop hahah idk I just like to progress faster I guess.. but I decided that after I obtain all my dreamies, I'll set the clock back to normal and not TT again hahah

I used to be an avid TTer, but now I've decided to take it day by day. If I want to TT, I dont, and the next day it's completely worth it.

I time travel to finish things faster. I'm very goal oriented so I tt to speed up the process. I also took a long break but kept the date the same day I left off on. I time travel bit by bit to get current again. Right now I'm in September!

I've TT'd in previous towns, and it made the game not as much fun for me. I love the excitement of things getting done the next day. I usually reset faster if I time travel in my town.

There's nothing wrong with time traveling, it's in the game for a reason.

Well, I have Fauna in my town, and a couple others I am pretty fond of. So, I am hoping to be super careful not to lose them. Since my villagers like to be butts and not ping me when their moving, I am going to lay off it for a while. I was in March (Almost April), and I brought myself back to the current day (not the current hour. I play way too late for normal hours.) It feels nice. Now, I think if I am going to TT, I will just move about in the same day.

I don't time travel because I know I'll get bored of the game easily if I do. Part of the fun in Animal Crossing is playing it in real time (since you can't exactly go back in time to go to that sale you missed yesterday in real life). That's just me.

I tt if am trying to out a villager or set one up, or get one into boxes but I always go back to the last day played or due to be played and once have accomplished all for that day I go ahead to the next save and go to the next on my other copy.

So I don't really skip time, but because I can't play constantly or every day and have multi towns, I am always playing catch up and never in real time, I got a second ds and a blank copy for Xmas and that one will be on right year but will likely start at beginning of this year as with a new town goes a little faster being a little behind may keep me on date with that one, but don't mind being behind actual date, I don't like to skip days I tt a lot but keep track of last played to go back. Have always kept my first town and it's not anywhere close to right date but doesn't effect much. When I got it nine months after release I started the date on release date. I also don't mind having towns in different seasons.

I don't TT because I like to experience the in-game events at the same time I'm experiencing them in real life. Plus, I'd hate to maybe accidentally lose one of my neighbours.

I time travel because I like it and I think the game is boring without, and I'm a tiny bit addicted. :p

I only tt day by day tho

I time travel because I'm an impatient little butt and because I want to get more things from the Emporium. Though I only do it day by day and never go over the current week. The only time I do a big leap is when I need to get something (like holiday items) and also when I adopt a villager for plot resetting or to move one out.

I don't tt in my main game anymore, but I did at one time because I hadn't played for months and didn't want to miss all of that time. I slowly went day by day to catch up. But I don't anymore because that town is pretty much complete and I don't need to.

My second town was a cycling town for a while so I tt'd all the time, but I have a lot of villagers I want to keep there now, so when I start playing that one again, I probably won't anymore unless it's just day by day.

I've had towns where I TT'd extensively, towns where I TT'd a little and towns where I haven't TT'd at all. I hold no preference, nor grudge either way.

In my latest town, I've chosen to completely restrict time-travel.

I don't, at least not in my current town. The only time I've TTed was in New Year's Eve, and it was to see the moment in which 2014 turned to 2015 before real midnight, because I obviously was gonna spend the last minutes of 2014 and the first ones of 2015 with my family and friends.
