Who is the best (and worst) cat villager and why? 🐈

It's hard to pick a favorite since they're so many cute cats! I think my favorites are Kiki, Raymond, Punchy, and Rudy. My least favorite would have to be Stinky because he looks like he got his mask from his underwear drawer. Sorry Stinky.

I definitely love Kiki the most because black cats are my favorite in general. My least favorite is Stinky because, well.

It’s hard to choose a few when both of my top picks are not on the poll hahaha.

Felicity and Olivia are permanent residents on my island, I love them.

Bob and Punchy are one of my favorite duos, right with Kyle and Eugene. I cannot have one without the other, so I have both in one of my NL towns.

I do really love Katt, Lolly and Kiki a lot, but of those three I’ve only had Lolly before in NL. If I obtain any in NH I know it would be hard to let go.

My least favorite is Stinky, I had him in New Leaf and I did not like his design.

I think he's super cyoot and loved the MH theme of his house.

I voted for Raymond though, as he's one of my villagers and the only one worthy of replacing Felyne, even though Raymond is smug, and Felyne is lazy.

In my opinion, Bob the best, and Katt is the worst. She's just... scary. I dunno why.

Best: Rudy. A+ colors, A+ house, A+ catboy
Worst: Mitzi. She'd be so much cuter if she didn't have that big blue spot in the middle of her face. (Tabby and Moe are runner ups. Moe for the weird yellow sad eyes and the fact that he's a discount Tom and tabby bc.... why does she look like that.)

Olivia is the best kitty. She's a permanent resident on my island, I love her color scheme and she's a joy to have around. Raymond doesn't fall far behind. I love his heterochromia, his different colored eyes are super cute! I miss Rudy, he was like a baby brother type of villager super cute!

I had Katt on my island for awhile but I couldn't stand her colors. She was a decent villager besides that tho

If Raymond hadn't been introduced this game Rosie would have taken it easily. She's one of those villagers that makes you smile when you see her so I'd definitely give her second. I just can't find myself liking Katt so she'd fall into the last spot.

my favorite cat though is Tabby. She has a really charming smile andI love her piggy nose.

My favorite Cat villager is definitely Ankha due to her unique Ancient Egyptian design. I had her in my main New Leaf town for years alongside Lucky, then reluctantly moved her out of that town and brought her onto my New Horizons island since she fit the island's theme well. Love her.

Other Cats I'm particularly fond of are Kabuki, Kitty, Monique, Olivia, and Raymond. I also like Felicity, Kid Cat, and Kiki, but not as much as any of the others listed before them.

I don't really dislike any of the Cat designs that much, but my least favorite would probably have to be Tangy. While I usually appreciate unique designs, for whatever reason that doesn't really extend to the food-based villagers like Tangy, Ketchup, etc. Also not really fond of Lolly's apostrophe eyes or Merry's tuft of hair, but their designs are otherwise good.

Best is Kiki! She's been my BFF since 2002 and she IS Animal Crossing for me! I like Bob, Tangy, and Felicity.

The worst is Raymond, who is just so unappealing to me. I find Tabby charming to be honest, but Raymond reminds me way too much of all the frat boys I went to college with.

Honestly, it's so hard to pick. Can I pick favorite male and female? 'Cause I gotta go with Merry for female, and Raymond for male. I got Merry as my first peppy on my island and it was months before I let her go- she was SO cute! And Raymond... like I know he's super popular and cliche. But, I mean, things tend to be popular for a reason. Raymond's design is so cute I love him. His tiny little fangs, his tuft of hair, his mismatched eyes (WHY don't more villagers have that it's SO precious!), his glasses... plus, smug is a pretty solid personality for a cat. Why is he the only smug cat? It feels like a waste!

If I HAD to choose between the two... I'd pick Raymond. I just really love his design. I got him a little while ago and I'm still in the "SQUEE! It's RAYMOND!" phase whenever I see him on my island, lol. I've been helping him build up a wardrobe, he's so fun to dress up!

As for worst... honestly, I've just never been big on Tabby. Her face is just so... odd. Like, it's right on the border of "so ugly it's cute", but just not quite crossing it. I could take the eyes. I could take the mouth. I could take the nose. But all three together? Sorry, no. I had her in my GC game, I believe, for ages. It took me almost that long to realize she was a girl. Also, Moe's not a favorite of mine. His eyes are too big. But I had him in... WW, I think, and he grew on me. And, while I like Stinky's basic design, I really hate his fur color. It's just such a gross, weird color. I'd still be willing to have him on my island, though, because his underwear over face look amuses me, lol.

Also, I know they're super popular, but I'm not huge on most overly themed villagers (except Tangy, who's a close second for my favorite girl cat)- I don't like Ankha or Kabuki. When I first got Kabuki in either the first game or CF (I remember having him on my TV and that's it, lol) I was HORRIFIED by his face and did not understand why it was so ugly or why his name was so weird. Now I get it. But I'm still not a big fan of it. And Ankha is cool, I guess, but I don't think I could ever make her work on my island/in my town.

Anyway. Cats are my favorite animal and I'd totally be a cat villager if I was a villager and when I first got the first game, before I knew how it worked, I wanted to be a cat so... I have lots of thoughts on cats

Oh this is such a tough question! I'm terrible at picking favourites of anything, but especially villagers. I absolutely adore both Lolly & Kiki and currently have them on my island so I voted for them as my favourites! But I think a lot of the cat designs are really lovely. I love Rosie, Merry, and Rudy a lot, too! Tangy is also really cute and I have a soft spot for Moe and Tom because I've had them both in New Leaf!

As for least favourite design I think maybe Monique? Something about her just kinda throws me off, maybe it's because it kind of looks like she's wearing makeup? I'm also not a fan of Katt or Tabby I'm sorry I know some people love them D: and I don't really love Stinky's design, either.

I have 8 cats on my island. I love the species on AC and rl. I voted for Raymond, Ankha, Merry, and Mitzi, my dreamies, though I like them all. Except maybe Monique, Moe, and Tabby, for reasons stated by several others in this thread. No offense to their fans but their designs just don't appeal to me. Everyone's entitled to their favorites though.

I must be one of the few people who doesn't love the cats in this game. I have nothing against any of them in particular, but I don't like the model they use for the cats. I think the ears are too big and pointy for most of them. Anyway, I voted for Ankha and Kabuki because their stylized design really suits the character model the best in my opinion. I also voted for Mitzi just because she reminds me of a Siamese cat I had growing up, so even though I've never had her as a villager, I feel nostalgia every time I see her.
