Just found out nintendo gives it to you for using SpotPass , did anybody else figure this out already? I was wondering how people were getting it

I have not, and I'm in the UK. I've seen many people in EU comment that they haven't received one either, it's so late in the month now for them to give one out so I'm assuming that EU probably won't get it, unless it arrives on Christmas Day but I don't see the point in delivering one so late when Japan and NA got theirs early-mid December.
If you really want one for Christmas then I'd recommend browsing the Retail forum, the price has decreased a lot since they hit NA but there are some especially kind people who have been giving them out for free.

I emailed Nintendo customer services yesterday asking very politely about it and whether we will get DLC - told them how depressing it was to be left out like this - I doubt I get an answer.
Apparently US are getting, as far as I can make out, DLC via hot spots - a barbecue bed during 19 Dec to ? Jan (about a month) - I have to travel to get to a hot spot but will try sometime during this time & see if we get anything.
I only see how little we get in the UK, not sure if this is how all of Europe is treated & of course Australia doesn't always get much either.
When the 3ds first launched in 2011 I bought Nintendogs as a stopgap till acnl came out (way too long a stopgap) - a game I didn't like much but it would have definitely helped if we had got DLC for it - the US did - an American president walking his dog, a different one every month.
I would have loved to see an American president, or even say fairy tale characters if they wanted to make something that could work Europe wide. We got zero.
In acnl - yes we did get some DLC & some Nintendo zone/hot spot items but we only got one HHA house where US got quite a lot.
I don't mean to compare it with the US, I mean rather just to say its depressing we can't all enjoy the DLC.
I have had the comment made at me - well you get the sanrio cards - but really this is just another 'wrong' and two of them don't make it right.

^ No you are right, Europe is often ignored. :/ Also with in game events... Other games have like 10 exclusive items and what about us? Around 3. :/ Oh and one of the few items we did have is no extremely easy to get, now everyone can have the Berliner.

I've ordered them a month ago and they haven't even shipped yet...and I live in Europe...

also I think that the sanrio card one it's an unfair comparison those items like the tree and the cake are free and for all

Meanwhile in Australasia, we get absolutely nothing xD No Sanrio cards or White Festive Trees.

I live in the UK and still nothing. We've totally been ignored (just like the US with Sanrio cards).
Oh well, you win some, you lose some. I do agree with what was said earlier in the thread though, EU gets totally shafted in most cases when it comes to DLC and extras. I'm actually amazed we got the Sanrio cards at all, when I think about it. One thing to be proud of, I suppose.

To be honest, I don't care much about the Sanrio cards (I live in Denmark, and I can't buy them anyway), but I really dislike the fact that only someone got the tree. Kinda like how much stuff the japanese players get in-game. Stop doing that Nintendo!

It's a NA exclusive I believe. It should come in your mail delivered by the mailman (I can't remember his name).
