Which soundtrack do you prefer?

I really liked the wild world sound track, then the new leaf would be the second best, and then new horizons. The new horizons isn’t bad at all, it’s just that the past soundtracks sounded more gloomy like, which is what it like.

New Leaf is my favorite. I am not a fan of New Horizons. In my opinion, NH does not feel very AC to me, and a lot of the hourly music seems very similar and too upbeat. I really feel it does not reflect the different times of day like the previous AC games.

Definitely New Leaf. I've said before that there would be nothing wrong with any of the New Horizons tracks individually, but together they just sound way too similar. New Leaf's soundtrack had far more variety.

There are some NH tracks I especially like. The main theme is my favorite in the series. 10AM is a nice upbeat tune. 5PM is probably the most popular hourly theme and for good reason. 6PM sounds like it was taken from City Folk yet doesn't stand out too much. 2AM shocked me the first time I heard it with how good it was.

My first exposure to Animal Crossing was the Gamecube version at the age of six with a town I've maintained since, so I suppose I have a bias by preferring the original soundtrack from the 64/Gamecube.
I will point out that even though the ACGC soundtrack is crazy good, it too can have its annoying moments. Cue 1AM/2AM repeating ad infinitum when trying to grind out Wisp's (tougher than NH) spirit quests. 1AM's having only a minute before looping doesn't help its case.
(WW/CF is solid all around, but the hours sort of blend together in my memory. It would be difficult if someone played me a specific hour and asked me to guess within two hours. That's not WW/CF's fault at all, just mine for being older. DX)
NL's soundtrack is alright, however, I'm not a big fan of the daytime hours. There's also a weird 'clicking' sound in some that inexplicably bothered me when playing. I greatly prefer the later hours that I wouldn't normally have been on NL, so it cancels itself out for me to a neutral "ehhh..." *sideways hand tilting back and forth*
I actually think I've grown to like NH more than I expected. I used to only dislike the infamous 2PM but someone here mentioned it sounding like the theme for Home Movies and now it's an amused tolerance of its quirkiness!
I'd say my order goes 64/GC >> NH > WW/CF > NL

I think the last time I answered this I was fully Wild World for the music. The ACNH music has grown on me a bit since then, but I still think that I prefer WW and NL's music a bit more. Some of the hourly music in ACNH are pretty meh after grinding the game for over 1000 hours.

Both for me, but I do love the New Horizons sound track more. To me it doesn't repeat as much as the New Leaf one, but of course, it's been awhile since I've played New Leaf, so it's kinda hard to compare. xD

Anythin from before New Leaf. So Wild World, City Folk and even Population Growing thou I've never played the last one.

Don't get me wrong I don't think NL has a bad track, I just like all the other game sound tracks better. Idk if it's the nostalgia or what, but the other tracks just sound more fun and upbeat. I used to play at certain hours just to hear that sound track.

I voted 'other' because there's a special place in my heart for Population Growing / gamecube ❤
Anytime I hear the music from it, I get so nostalgic and kind of sad, but like, in a good way!

I do also really like the New Leaf soundtrack though. I miss all those really cute night themes and I'm actually very very sad I can't have the 12, AM, 1AM, or 4AM (in particular) music playing when I choose to upload my village to the dream suite. I don't hate the NH soundtrack, but it doesn't have the same vibe!

When New Leaf was the main game I talked a lot of smack about its soundtrack, and I still have issues with it in a lot of ways, but I think it was better background music than what New Horizons offers.

New Horizons has some interesting and complex sound problems. In my opinion the biggest issue is that the game is just loud... the balance between background music and foreground noises such as wind is not the best and fatiguing after playing for a while. The actual sounds themselves are amazing, and the sound design itself is perfect, but the balance is wrong to where the game seems too loud to me.

wild world’s soundtrack is my favourite one overall but between nl and nh, i prefer new leaf’s! it’s very nostalgic for me and plus,, i’m obsessed with the nighttime tracks c’:

New Leaf for sure, there was some beautiful music such as in the roost as mentioned by a user above. Again, as the ac game I put the most love and hours to due to timing of life it will always reign my personal favourite. The music is always so relaxing without being boring. Wild world soundtrack is a close second though.

It fits the vibe of Animal Crossing to a tee and had a kind of magic that the subsequent titles were unable to replicate.

New Leaf, New Leaf, New Leaf. I love NH, but I LOVE the variety that NL had. And can we all admit, that the 4 AM music was definitely one of the most unsettling but oddly serene tracks in the whole series? It's basically saying "why are you awake...? i'm serious kid, go back to bed."

I LOVE the 4am music so much, I always tried to update my dream at either 4am or 7pm, which I think is my absolute favorite.

Definitely New Leaf. All the hourly tracks were good, I never got tired of them even after years. NH soundtrack is just alright.

Other- Wild World because Nostalgia. Wild World was my first Animal Crossing game. Fun fact! There's songs in NH that are I guess "error" songs from invalid song requests. I almost cried when hearing one of them- when you request Wild World, it plays the title theme from Wild World. You don't get a copy of that song to keep, however, but it's a nice touch.
New Horizons does have good music- 5 AM being my personal favorite from that soundtrack- but Wild World nostalgia makes me prefer it.

my favorite is Wild World! probably cause of nostalgia, but also cause i thought it was very relaxing and cute. As much as i think NL had a good sountrack when i listen to it now, i must admit that it got a little annoying for me after a while, idk why..? maybe i was playing too much at the time x)
