I have come across these different ACNH database websites that are similar with differences

Nookazon
ViillagerDB
Nook.Exchange
Nook Plaza

  2. What does is lacking with the site you use [or] you wish you could do [or] you do not understand about the site?
  3. What is awesome about the site you use compared to the others?
  4. Any other comment you have about the site which others may or may not know?
Please vote in the poll!

My response

1. I use Nook Plaza
2. (EDIT) - After reading responses to this thread, Nook Plaza does feel slow when interacting with the site.
3. I like
  • The copy list to text function
  • Being able to switch between view list, view icons and view pictures.
  • The site filters as I type in the search bar, without having to hit enter
  • You can quickly add items to your selected list, without having to choose the item, and then select the list you want to add to.
4. I tried using the other three before I stumbled across Nook Plaza. I feel Nook Plaza is simpler and less busy.

Nook Plaza and Villager DB are both good for different things. But I couldn’t pick two, so I went with NP for more search options and features for DIYs. But VDb has a better interface for different colors/styles of items and customizable options

I use villagerdb for catalog and items and the wikia for info, hadn’t used Nook plaza yet, but i’ll look into it more.

I don't play in English, so I like Nook Plaza and Nook Exchange because they have item names in other languages. However, I hate the design of Nook Plaza and it's crazy slow for me so I can't use it long, and while I really like Nook Exchange, it doesn't let you make custom lists, so it's not that useful to me. So for now I use VillagerDB hope it gets multilingual support soon.

I don't use any of those. I mostly use stalks.io and Nookipedia. I used to use Thonky a lot too.

We're planning on adding it! It's in the works.

I use Villager DB, I like that you can "compare" lists. If you had a list of your catalog and someones wishlist you click the "compare to" button and it will show you what you have and what is different on the two lists.

I like the interface of VillagerDB best. Nook Exchange is pretty good. I hate the design of Nook Plaza, but it's tolerable enough I guess.

I've never shopped on Nookazon, so I can't say anything about it there, but I hate it when people put their wishlists there and link to it. Nookazon loads so much slower than all of the rest of these cataloging sites.

I like Nook Plaza, but use VillagerDB on occasion when Nook Plaza starts to act up.

I LOVE VillagerDB!
I pretty much only use it, I tried Nookazon when I first heard about it and it was just too slow, and sometimes still is too slow, I don't have patience for it. lmao. I started using VillagerDB right away, and they keep doing a lot of really really useful updates (especially lately), like color variants/more pictures, list renaming, and latest one of being able to specify wanting recipe cards!! I love how clean it looks too, its just so simple to link it to people/have quick links in my shop!! I can't wait to see what else they do w/ it *o*!
I recommend it to everyone, its very lovely to use~!

I've personally only used Nook Plaza and VillagerDB and have my qualms with both. I haven't tried Nookazon but I have browsed it and checked it out.
NookPlaza: I like the live updating search results. However it can be slow and buggy when I try to narrow down the categories, it sometimes randomly rejects my inputs when I try to go back to all categories. Also you either cannot add multiples of one thing in a collection/list or it is really obscure as to how to do it
VillagerDB: You also cannot add multiples of the same thing to a single list. Also in terms of web design I just think it's a really inefficient allocation of space, in your collections all your icons are over on the far left and actions are on the far right. All the space in the middle is unused. Literally just move the icons to be centre-left or do what NookPlaza does and make it a grid and I'll be happy.

TLDR I prefer NookPlaza's grid layout and live search but prefer VillagerDB's functionality.

VillagerDB. Nookazon scares me and I've never used the other two

I may have to try using VillagerDB again in the near future. Was actually the first site I came across back in early April. From what I am reading, seems like useful updates have occurred.

Nook Plaza has more info that I desperately need, namely what colors and themes each item counts as. But Nookazon and Villager DB are better for making trading lists.

Be been using nookazon for lists, but only because at the time I started villagerdb didn’t have color variations. I’ll have to look into it again since I liked everything else about it!

VillagerDB. I find it more user-friendly and faster than most listed above. It's not as comprehensive at first, but their latest updates and continuous developments are great and is shaping up pretty nicely.

Im a huge fan of Nookazon for trading. Love how easy it is to find what I want. Also very easy to sell on there.

i've only ever used nookazon and villagerdb. personally, i just think that the layout of villagerdb is easier on the eyes and to navigate, so i've never considered using another site.
