Depends. When talking to people privately on Steam or Skype, I don't care about proper capitalization and often use shorthand. They also know to not expect anything more, and most of them talk in a similar way. On the forums I use proper spelling, capitalization, punctuation and grammar (though I know my grammar isn't perfect), unless I'm joking.

In all honesty,yes and no.I normally do,but when it comes to my less...my friends who like to use a lot of slang and spell words using shortcuts,I do a 180 and talk to them like that as well,because sometimes they won't understand what I'm trying to write unless I write it on their level...

When I type on forums like this, then yeah I type mostly "properly" (using correct sentences, punctuation, capital letters, tend to use abbreviations 'cause I kinda post in the way that I talk a lot of the time). When I Skype message with friends, though... Kinda turns into a mess really. LOL but it's fun though especially when me and my friend are live-messaging each other when watching Game of Thrones or w/e.

i'l often type like this when in group chats and i'll even say things like... adding an 8 to replace a couple of letters for example in wait rate hate, but i mean thats only when i'm super comfortable around people im talking to or if I dont care enough to bother with it

I personally like it when people type with proper grammer even in chat rooms though~ its nice~
