well...right now I'm trying to fish out a few of the Peppy and Snooty PWPs. Julian dumped all the Smug PWPs onto me at once and made me feel awful if I don't build them; then Marina, who is Julian's best friend and neighbour, followed his lead...

you know you can still have them ping and talk to them while trapped right?
just put holes around them in a + formation, so when they ping you can talk to them at one of the diagonals

I've been doing this a lot recently. I even timetravel. So once I have one requested I go to the next day, and then back and so forth.
It's really hard, I've used the photos of the PWPs and the specific villager types like a checklist. But it's hard so I've put holes around so I don't run into a villager I don't want. I really wish it was easier.

I spent ages yesterday trying to get my Uchi to ping me for PWPs and she never did. I was doing the PWP trick as always but she didn't ping me at all. I even tried to walk past other villagers to check if they'd ping me and they did, so I don't know why it wasn't working with her.

At least yours are suggesting. I usually don't have enough time (read: I don't dedicate enough time) to play and get them to suggest PWPs. Instead I get pings about moving or deliveries or something equally pointless.

did she ping you before?
I've kinda noticed with me that if a villager already pinged me, its much rarer for them to ping twice in a row
or alternatively, has it been a while (week+) since you last talked to her? since villagers won't ping you at all if they feel the need to tell you about how long its been since you last spoke to them

My villagers always ping me for a new catchphrase or something ;;
I recently was pinged for the police station so I'm happy to receive some items back, however the flowers some villagers plotted over were still lost and destroyed :c
