What's your method of obtaining dreamies?

I achieve villagers I like just by random move-ins and campsite move-ins. Sometimes I get villagers off other people as well, by going online with them. I don't really invite villagers over from other towns though, since I don't really know who to invite and I like just going with the flow.

I just wait until they go to my campsite. No one on here seems to have any of my dreamies.

Before I joined the forum, I would just wait until a villager I liked visited my campsite or randomly moved in. I've purchased one villager (Lolly) from someone on the forums c: I'll probably end up buying my last few dreamies, unless one happens to move in.

For me it has been a bit of a mix... a few that I bought or was given from TBT, a couple that were from my old cycling town and I've had a few that were unexpected move ins from family member's towns (there are four of us that play ACNL in this house!)... Erik being a deliberate one when he boxed in my son's town and he was distraught, so I agreed to adopt him so that my boy could visit him whenever he wanted

I usually obtain my dreamies via other players, usually because I'm pretty indecisive about where to put my campsite down and I always end up not liking it, so I find it much easier to obtain villagers via other players. ^-^

I started out with just waiting for them to move in and checking the campitr/igloo. I just recently started visiting the villager trading plaza more and got a few dreamies, I don't mind buying from other players, it's fun to see the villagers sing their previous town tunes

I cross my fingers and hope for the best. I've actually been extremely lucky to have Ankha as a starter villager, with Merengue, Roscoe, Flurry, and Beau as random move-ins
