What's Bothering You?

Trying to find flea treatment for my cats, and why is there only spot on treatment? I can hardly find any tablets.
I can't use spot on, on one of my cats, I can't even hold him down he goes insane. 😫

One of my cats is like that! My bf has to go wrestle him once a month while I scramble to put the drops on the back of his neck 😭

Sounds awful 😞 have you looked on Amazon? Just checked and I don’t know much about tablets but lots of options 💜

Feeling heartbroken 💔
My brother called this morning that they had to take Buck to the emergency vet and sadly he did not make it. We miss you so much sweet Buck. Love you Buck 💔

Maybe you can ask the vet, I feel like there is like a tablet version but it may only be offered through the vet. I have to have help putting on flea treatment on one of my cats they hate it but the tablet option would be much harder compared to the spot treatment.

I'm feeling okay. My finger has been hurting and there is like a little bump on it but i can't figure out what it is so I am trying to just leave it alone and hope it resolves on its own.

I dunno if distracting them with treats or anything like that might help?
Then again my youngest won't stay when I tried this either DX

I only don't use spot on with him, because I worry I didn't put enough on him or it didn't go onto his skin and only his fur; and he just avoids me afterwards.

I have tried looking for a specific brand that did the tablets but they aren't being advertised anymore.
I did order some spot on for my other cats.

Thanks, I was in the past buying tablets from the vets but I never felt like they were doing anything?
I plan to go there and ask for some more tomorrow.
My cat likes this paste treat, and I crush it in and he's totally fine eating it like that.

And sorry to hear about your finger, the best is to not think about it and hopefully it resolves it on its own. Or if you have any cream that could help.

First and foremost, this thread is a safe space for all forum members to vent or share their feelings, whether to get support or just as a means of catharsis. That said, there is now a zero-tolerance policy for any post(s) about another forum member, whether direct or indirect, and any instance of this will result in a formal warning and possible short-term ban from the forums. Anyone using this thread must abide by the following rules:
  • Do not post about other forum members, even if you're not mentioning them by name. If you have an issue with someone here, you should PM them to try and work it out privately, or make a thread in our Contact the Staff board so the staff can assist in taking care of the problem.
  • Do not make indirect statements about others. Making vague statements about a past or present relationship/friendship who are members of TBT can be harmful. Even when you don't include any identifying factors, the other person can figure out they're the target of your post, and we often can't verify or take action because we don't have any knowledge of the situation
    • This also applies to posting about another person's situation, whether positive (e.g., concern, worry) or negative, as their situation is not yours to share
  • Focus on your own experiences and feelings. Please avoid sharing personal details or issues about others to respect their privacy
  • Be mindful of sensitive content. Some topics may be triggering to others (e.g., mental health struggles, traumatic experiences, medical conditions and procedures, politics, or loss). We encourage using spoiler tags for such content to be considerate of everyone using the space.
  • You may not discuss the suspension of another forum member. Talking about your own infraction or ban is fine.
  • Remember to be respectful at all times, especially when responding to someone else.
  • Troll/joke posts will be removed. Please only use the thread for venting about what's bothering you. We all love a good joke, but this thread isn't the place for it.
  • Rule-breaking posts need to be reported. Do not take matters into your own hands by responding to posts that break the forum or thread rules.
  • Medical advice of any kind should not be requested or offered under any circumstances. While discussing your own medical issues and being supportive to those experiencing them is fine, please only seek advice from your doctor(s) and leave the advice-giving to professionals.
Keep things civil from this point forward and be respectful in your posts and comments. We don't want to take away something that may be a means of support for the people using this thread for its intended purpose, so keep the above rules in mind when using this thread, and in general when posting. Thanks everyone.

That works with our youngest. He loves snacks so just a few treats and we can do whatever. Our other cat...he doesn't even like treats half the time so our other cat will eat both their shares 😂

But yeah, that cat isn't treat motivated, doesn't like being picked up, and is very skittish anyway so my bf has his work cut out for him every month when we have to redo their drops. My bf grabs him while he swings his claws in every direction.

Hmm, I might suggest maybe using a towel to hold your cat so he can't scratch.

Also sadly I couldn't buy any tablets from the vets as planned because they wanted a check up with my cat before I could buy any DX
