What was the first online forum you joined?

Some local ones that don't even exist anymore. Joined Neopets in 2008, that's like the oldest account I still use.

My first forum was Zelda Universe back in 2004 iirc! I lied about my age to be able to make an account tbh but I stayed on that forum for such a long time and I still visit it every once in a while! I practically grew up on it and have so many embarrassing moments and posts on it that I have to avoid looking back at my post history lol. I also learned how to make graphics on it (I opened a shop for signatures and avatars) and met my first boyfriend on it as well!

The two forums I mentioned earlier were my earliest memory if not the first forum I used. But I don't really hold either of them with much sentimental value. Tbt and another forum that was dedicated to a tv series (Atla) were the only two forums I've used where I have many fond memories of. Sadly that one is gone now. The forum was nuked long ago and even before then it was very dead. It was sad to see how it died out, but it's to be expected. It's surprising it went on for so long after the original show had its run, before we knew Korra was going to be a thing, and even if Korra couldn't hold a candle to Atla it still brought life back to the forum for a few more years. I hope they're all doing well.

A Pokémon forum called Pokémon Elite 2000. Pe2k. I don’t remember what year it was but I was playing gen 3 and FireRed at the time I believe so essentially forever ago. I loved that forum even though a lot of people were mean to me on it hahaha

not sure if it’s the first but one of the first forums I’ve joined is one called Goofans! It’s a fan forum for this puzzle game I love called world of goo! the community was awesome and they’d share custom levels they made for the game. I had the mobile version back then so I couldn’t get them but I ought to download and try some out after all this time.

I think my first forum was this sailor moon forum in the 2000s. I can't remember the name. It had like four avatars to choose from and it had no customization. I also remember you could make your "profile" but the profiles looked more like actual websites.

This is really wild for me to say, but before this forum, I didn’t know that there were other forum sites and the day I joined the TBT forum. It has been a really nice community and I’m not sure how I came across the TBT forum but at the time at the time I was still on a new leaf I definitely would recommend the TBT website to anybody else. In fact, I recommended it to my brother. Forums never really ever crossed my mind and I didn’t really know what forums were until the TBT, which took me time to research about it.

I was really big into a forum in the Wii/DS era of gaming called NintendoWorlds where the overall point was to exchange friend codes and have discussions on this and that. The admin was a super passionate person and when it was time for him to go it left a huge hole that nobody could fill. There was even a revival discord long after the site shut down but it never went anywhere…

dreammoods.com sometime in the middle 2000s. It was a forum where you posted your dreams and people would interpret them. It's gone now which to me is like the burning of the Library of Alexandria when it relates to being able to read dreams other people have had.

A lot of other forums at the time but that might have been the first.

My first ever forum was the original NSider back in what, like '05? I used that until it shut down. After that I went to either The Mario Forums or NSider2, I forgot which. I joined TBT in like 2012.
