at least y'all have some degree of choice, we have a 'workwear' uniform/guide at 6th form, we have to wear a blazer and a skirt/trousers and a shirt, with black shoes. We can have heels though, so I guess there's that.
ugh i hate the dresscode
but anyway its
-no yoga pants
-no leggings
-they almost banned skinny jeans!?? wtf
-your whole shoulder must be covered
-skirts and shorts must reach your finger tips (i have long arms so ugh)
-no hats
i swear the boys who wear basketball shorts NEVER get in trouble
Hmm, basically just don't wear anything that's revealing or contains anything that's not school appropriate, like profanity, drugs, and anything like that.
Shirts that have sleeves on them (there's no fingertip thing for this, we have to have a seam and fabric on the other side of the seam)
No holes in the shirts
No yoga pants
Shorts have to be fingertip length / 5" inseam (depending on the circumstances)
No holes above fingertip length on jeans
However, I prefer to dress like we have a uniform. For a couple of reasons, one being that it draws attention away from myself and two being that I want to look presentable.
Khaki shorts and pants, along with a variety of chinos are a must every school year for me.
no spaghetti straps, no bra straps showing, no cleavage showing, no tube tops, no crop tops, no underwear/bras showing. also no drug/alcohol/gang/weapon/violence apparel.
sometimes i gave my jacket to a girl in class if they were about to be dresscoded by the teacher. i've never been dresscoded since the dress code is only heavily enforced on girls. but if you get dresscoded, they make you wear this big neon green shirt that you can see from like a mile away.
We have to wear shirts/dresses with straps that fit the 2 finger rule. I really don't even understand it, what type of guy would all of a sudden want to do me just because I show 2 CM more of shoulder than normal?
Well my school has uniforms. Grade 7-12 have to wear formal every Monday, guys probably have it worse as they have to wear a tie and have their shirts tucked in to pants with belts. Girls have a button on tie and below-knee skirt. Then we have casual which is a shirt in the school colours and knee length pants though most girls adjust the length (make them shorter). Oh and we have to wear black leather shoes.
On event days such as the sports carnival we are allowed to dress up. But we are suppose to have sleeved shirts and a few other rules I can't remember but teachers normally let it slide (It's just one day after all).
Teachers manly focus on the whole; no jewellery apart from one set of earrings, black leather shoes and no non-school jumpers.
In younger grades they seem to care about nail polish as well and last year there was this huge thing that if your hair touched your collar it had to be tied up.
A few teachers are much harsher than others for example some will simply tell you to not have the jewellery showing (hiding it under your collar) while others will send it up to the office making you collect it later in the day.
i go to a super like christian private school and we just wear uniforms and we aren't allowed to wear anything outside of the uniform so no hoodies or jackets or anything if they aren't school-uniform brand. also black shoes always, no other colors or designs. and when we have non-uniform days they just expect like clean cut christian outfits it's an unspoken rule haha
Pretty much the basics stated above, no facial piercings, no sagging your pants. xD No pajamas, (unless it's pajama day) spiked hair can't exceed 2 inches, no holes in pants, no coats mittens or scarves in classrooms.
