What is your school's dress code?

well most people at our school (unless you're a senior you may have) have never actually seen our principal so saying that we really don't have a dress code. like hardly at all, (you can't come in underwear or a bra) but I've seen some stuff really close to it. the one rule they do inforce is no hats

thats funny because in my old school, they would put you in detention for wearing hats lol

haha the only thing our school properly enforces, is jumper colour.
Like you can rock up to school in platform heels with a short skirt but if you have a jumper thats the wrong shade of blue, thats when they get ya.
Ahh well, can't wait till i'm in university and I can dye my hair some crazy colour and wear what I want.

In my old school the uniform was:
-Bottle green blazer
-House tie (winter uniform)
-White button up shirt (winter uniform)
-House polo shirt (summer uniform)
-Girls grey skirt (not pleated, resting on the knee, any shorter/not grey/pleated you get a warning)
-Grey trousers, different cut for boys and girls.
-Black shoes, any style (no boots or heels)
Anything not on this list or in the wrong style and you get a warning, so no hoodies, trainers, jumpers, etc.

In my college it is more relaxed, sort of...
Boys can wear anything as long as it is not revealing, so they have to wear a top and their underwear cannot be showing.
Girls can wear anything as long as it is not revealing, so any top can be worn as long as it doesn't show too much cleavage and any trousers can be worn as long as they are modest.
Boys tend to be called out most for their clothing due to saggy trousers or, during the summer mainly, not wearing a top. (Seriously their chests aren't that impressive anyway, unless you are into flab.) Girls tend not to be called out on since we are trusted with what we wear and the college doesn't partake in victim blaming, so guys oggling girls are punished instead of the girl being punished. (Misogyny is also not tolerated, I really love my college)

i wish i could go to ur school tbh

i honestly want a uniform bc my school dresscodes for the silliest of reasons smh

Uniforms are good because you don't spend ages trying to decide what to wear in the morning (which is a problem for me at times since... a lot of my clothes are too small for me now and most of the time I'm too lazy to go out shopping for new ones ^^), and also you appreciate wearing own clothes a lot more on the weekends, at least I do anyway. But usually uniforms are really uncomfortable to wear, especially in the hot weather... D:

But at my school, the girls wear a light blue blouse, grey pleated skirt (from year 7 - 9), but I wear a grey pencil skirt (from year 10 - 11), navy blue blazer with the school badge on it, black/white socks OR black tights and black shoes. The boys have to wear a light blue shirt, tie, blazer, grey trousers and black shoes... So the uniform is a lot stricter on the boys. I'm so glad I don't have to wear a tie, and I couldn't stand having to wear trousers all year round... ><

I don't go to school anymore, but I sorta do.. I work in one xD

At that school they wear a sweatshirt and polo combo with standard suit trousers..

They're soon changing it though to a blazer and proper shirt with a tie, along with the same trousers

at my school it was a light grey jumper, pale blue collared shirt, short grey pleated skirt, grey knee socks and leather shoes
we had to wear a navy blazer on formal occasions too but nobody did
they weren't strict about dress code at all

guys had the same uniform but with grey formal trousers instead of a skirt, and they also had to wear a navy tie

no spaghetti straps no shorts that dont reach your fingertips no ripped jeans no fishnet stockings ; ^ ; no strapless clothing and nothing advertising inappropriate things (such as alcohol cigarettes hooters etc) no hats no chains (like wallets that attach to your pants) i think theres more but idk
nobody listens to the dress code anyways

Uniform..

Girls: Maroon or white shirt, dark or light gray shirt, black, white, or maroon socks, and black or brown penny loafers.

Guys: Maroon or white shirt, khaki shorts or pants, sneakers if you wear the shorts, penny loafers or other shoes if you wear the pants.

The winter one is different, but I don't feel like listing it.

Our uniform is pretty strict, don't see why it needs to be aha

Boys: black trousers, white shirt, house colour tie, black shoes (no vans, plimsoles or trainers), navy blue jumper, blazer, polo shirt in summer
Girls: black trousers or knee length skirts, shirt, house colour tie, polo shirt in summer, blazer, navy blue jumper, black shoes (must have buckle, no dolly shoes, plimsoles etc.)
No jewellery except watches or studded earrings, natural hair colour, discreet makeup for girls in KS4

I suppose on the bright side it makes people feel more similar the stricter it is, girls are a nightmare and always being judged on non uniform days so it's probably for the best we have a uniform.

Blazer, white shirt, jersey with school logo on, clip-on tie, knee-length skirt or black trousers, black tights/socks (which can only be ankle length), no "radical hairstyles", no beads, no make-up, all hair accessories must be the same colour as uniform, no hats.

They go on and on about how we look "so smart", but I look like a kid playing dress-up. :(

Hate it
No dyed hair, stay in 100% uniform or it's a detention, no shorts below knee legnth, no polo shirts, sweaters must be navy blue with no designs/images of any kind, no hats in the vicinity of the building,

I forgot the rest :p
And then the dress code in the high school I want to go to is basically wear whatever you want but it has to be maroon or purple or you get a detention. Thankfully, detentions there are during the lunch period..

We don't have uniforms, but we do have:

No spaghetti straps
No shorts shorter than wrist length
No trench coats
Nothing offensive
Nothing that "frightens" others
No rips or holes
Wear clothes in general :D

Black leather lace up shoes with a heel, school skirt that can't be higher than 5cm above the knee, school white with green blouse short sleeve, blazer with school logo, black stockings, simple necklace, no more than 2 rings, 1 bracelet, hair has to be tied back, no more than 1 pair of earrings on the lobe (i have seconds and just cover them) .. yea thats pretty much it for girls winter uniform. we are also not allowed to have unnatural hair colour only blonde or brown and no tattoos

My school's dress code is pretty easygoing and standard:

1. No spaghetti straps

2. Shoes or sandals required (it just says you can't come barefoot)

3. No cleavage, midriffs, butts, or underwear showing (just no slutty stuff in general)

4. No shorts or skirts with an inseam less than 4 inches

5. No shirts with alcohol, tobacco, sexual etc. references (this one gets a lot of people. I remember a guy who wore a shirt with a guy holding a beer mug on it had to put masking tape over the mug and write "Mountain Dew" in order not to be written up or forced to change). Hooter's shirts are not banned for some reason.

6. No pajama pants (this is one that's written but never technically enforced).

7. No hats during classes (only between, before and after school, and during lunch.)

As far as I know, there aren't really any rules about hairstyles, hair colors, or jewelry. We used to have a ban on jeans with frays or holes above mid-thigh, but that's mostly gone now (as long as no underwear is showing, it's okay).
