What is your preferred way of getting bells?

Passively beetle and shark farming on the island. I'd only do a little bit at a time, otherwise I'd get sick of it.

I've technically two 3DS, so I could probably do something with turnips too that'd be really profitable. Never was a fan at keeping towns at a certain dates (needed for the method I've in mind), so I never bothered with it.

i don’t play new leaf anymore, but farming a bunch of rare beetles and fish on tortimer’s island and then selling them at re-tail was always my favourite and go-to way of making bells. not only was the profit great (i always made 400k+ bells per pocketful of critters), but it was also really relaxing to me and definitely one of my favourite things to do in-game. it’s one of the things i miss most from new leaf tbh.

The most common method I've always used was catching beetles on the island and fishing for sharks, although reading your posts I could try many other ways! One thing that never thrilled me was selling turnips, but I would like to try it in the future

When I'd play, my favorite method was to catch a bunch of beetles. I'd even make sure I was up at a certain time so I was ready, lol! Anytime I tried the stalk market, I always ended up losing bells so I stopped using that

I usually catch beetles, but only Golden Stags or Horned Hercules beetles. it may take 1h 30m- 2h to fill up the drop box every time, but it is worth it. I forgot how many bells I had in my pockets before, but it was around 80k I believe, but after selling all that I caught, i had around 1 and a half million.

I also sell things online (blue roses, gold roses, hybrids and any duplicate gold tools I may have, and some "rare" furniture) the prices people will pay for those things are really high it almost makes me feel bad

I usually do what I call "spring cleaning" I never use it during spring, spring is mainly just me packing more and more items in my storage for spring cleaning in summer XD It's just selling all the furniture and clothes in my storage! If it doesn't get me enough bells i go fishing and diving at the islands and steal fruit from the tours sometimes !!

I usually go to the island at night and try to catch sharks that's the only way I was told to make money very fast

I absolutely hate the house loans. I once traded in TBT for enough IGB to take care of that. My current town is hacked and I've avoided most cheating except adding enough bells to my account to pay off the house loans.

For everything else, I just get beetles and stuff from the island and sell everything I don't need.

I just sell my old junk from my drawers and get some bells out of that. Especially if the junk in question is a hot item a Re-Tail that day (e.g. if furniture is a hot item, then I'll be selling a lot of furniture).

I don’t need bells anymore so I’m just trying to get a maxed out ABD. I usually just catch anything that sells for a decent amount. I also assess all fossils since I have all of them so I can sell them for a decent amount. The island at night never hurts either, but I go regardless of the time of day.

Another quick way is to play the retail and get rid of the junk. I wait until what ever it is that I want is on sale. It seems like I have accumulated a lot of fossil:-/. *and total town pattern domination is what I want *
I have a l lot of hybrids so I just get rid of of ones that I do not want. Now mind you I do not need any bells, but More bells MORE Bells MORE. 〜(￣▽￣〜)
I also sell those gems because I only like certain colors.
And yeah if you did or could not tell I never did sell all those crowns and or royals crowns on my town. I plan on getting rid of those soon.

Generally visit Tortimer island and farm beetles and sharks, which seems to be a popular choice. Usually I can fill pockets up quickly with high value ones and make a lot of bells in a short amount of time.
