Are Beatles still the fastest way to make bells in this game!? I started a new island on my switch lite so I'm trying to figure out if Beatles are still a thing or if it's a new method entirely!

Probably. I started a new game so since it's been winter I've mostly been diving but that only comes out to about 100,000 bells every thirty minutes real time or so.

ETA: I made this post late so see below for more details.

I mean turnips are technically the fastest, but that requires obscene luck, 2 games, or help from another

my personal bell farm method though involves selling gold/blue rose wreaths on my island (bell boom)

I can make 5 each per flower spawn cycle, which totals to 240k every few days. not a hugely massive amount, but consistent with little work needed (we don't talk about all the work it takes to get 50 of each flower)

this is a really good one too though

deep sea creatures sell for a decent overall average in my experience, are incredibly easy to get good value spawns, and you don't have to deal with any tools durability management

only real issue is some of the pricier ones can be an absolute pain, if you're not very good at catching them. also, you kinda got to learn how to tell which shadows to just completely ignore, unless you're missing things in season for the critterpedia/museum that you're trying to get

With the diving I don't leave any of them because they don't despawn. I bought the Mario pipes and put one on that piece of beach where Redd lands and one near my store. I have the large inventory, four rows, and I always have the top row full of tools so I do a three-row dive run and it ends up being anywhere from 50,000-70,000. And there is a trick when it comes to catching the faster-than-you critters, which is to gently tread water by just pushing in the direction, not swimming, until you're over the bubbles then dive. I catch a lot of crab like that.

I do currently have the Bell Boom ordinance, and I also keep an eye out on the store's hot items (since crafting is much more doable since you get to choose a quantity up to 10 at once), so making sure to have a good stock of iron and shells on hand is very helpful. Also, the pearls from diving which are a lot easier to get now than they used to be (always give Pascal the scallop he asks--they're pretty common so you'll likely find another for the museum) because between Pascal and diving you'll generally come back with two to four, plus the cards from Pascal are some of the easiest to get. Of course this isn't an every day income but I did up five of one piece of Mermaid furniture the other day and sold for 250,000 or thereabouts. Some of the iron furniture has a good return too.

Beetles are still a thing in this game. However, they are only really available in the Summer and there isn't Tortimer Island in NH, so you may have to wait until July, unless you are fine with time traveling.

Here are some other methods:

- Keep valuable bugs and fish in your storage and sell them to Flick and CJ respectively when they visit. CJ pays 50% more for each fish, and Flick pays 50% more for each bug. So, a sturgeon, for example, would sell for 10,000 bells in the shop, but CJ would pay 15,000 bells instead. I personally like to keep bugs+fish in my storage that sell for a minimum of 1,000 bells in the shop.

- Keep an eye for hot items that Timmy and Tommy are buying. You can check hot items by looking at the store sign. When the shop upgrades, there will be two items a day even. These items are going to be craftable items. Sometimes, these items can be very valuable. I have actually gotten mermaid items show up on there quite frequently. Since these mermaid items require pearls (some pieces require two pearls) to craft them, the mermaid furniture sells for quite a bit of bells. When it is a hot item, you can get 20,000+ bells (pieces that require one pearl) or 40,000+ bells (pieces that require two pearls) per piece. Pearls are quite rare, so you will probably get most of them by giving scallops to Pascal. Sometimes he'll give TWO a day now with the release of the 3.0 Update. I personally have been giving scallops every day to him. Not only do I enjoy his presence, but I also like staying stocked up on pearls for days a mermaid item is a hot item. Other items still have a decent value too. Also, my brother got back into this game (briefly) after the 3.0 Update released and he mentioned making 400,000 bells in one go just by selling iron tables

- Turnips. You can buy turnips every Sunday morning from Daisy Mae (5AM to 12PM). It does require luck to get a good profit back, but if you have a NSO subscription, you can travel to other towns to sell your turnips at considerable profits. A lot of people on here even ask to visit towns to sell turnips, or even offer to let people in if they think they have a pretty high price.

- If you have the HHP DLC and design enough houses, you will eventually be able to convert Poki into bells. Unfortunately, however, you can only convert 15,000 Poki per day, but it is still a way to make a quick wad of bells.
Just be aware that the conversion rate does fluctuate day to day. Usually for me, the conversion rate is 100 Poki to 200-300 bells, so I usually get 30,000 to 45,000 bells per day by doing this. I believe it goes directly into your account.

- Money rocks. There should be a money rock on your island every day. Kapp'n tours will also have a money rock per island. With the 3.0 Update, you can now go on two island tours a day (though you have to progress to a certain point with the hotel). The first one will cost 1,000 Nook Miles and the second one will cost, I believe 100 hotel tickets.

- Bell vouchers. If you don't mind selling out some of your Nook Miles, you can buy Bell Vouchers from the Nook Stop. Each one costs 500 Nook Miles and sells for 3,000 bells. This means you are getting six times as many bells as you spent Nook Miles.

Omg thank you !! Imma keep this noted :]

What I do to get lots of Bells actually takes a couple of days to complete but it’s worth it. I always bury 10000 Bells in glowing spots and collect 30000 from each Bell Tree that grows. If you do this a couple days in a row, you should be able to get at least 60000 Bells depending on how may glowing spots you buried Bells in.

Step 1: Acquire NSO.
Step 2: Find a treasure island.
Step 3: Pick up bells.
Step 4: Leave as fast as you can.
