What is your favorite feature of the new game?

i love the default pathing options with the option to layer custom paths/borders on top versus only being able to create paths with custom paths in acnl (which i felt never quite matched the in-game aesthetic!)

Another one: different species of butterflies having different flying animations. It makes them seem so much more alive and unique from each other. (Watch a purple emperor vs a paper kite!)

There are quite a lot of things I love but my favourite is being able to place furniture outside. And second one is that we have gotten such a large variety of flower hybrids, as well as how lovely they look in NH.

I’ve had most of the previous games and I would always need to look up how to answer the questions given at Shampoodle get a certain hair style in ACNL. I was thrilled when I found out that you didn’t need to do that in this game!
I always had to do this and I had the same haircut every time. What a pain it was.

Paths, terraforming and furniture outside is what convinced me to buy the game. I was feeling like I was too burnt out from NL up until I saw that.

Tangentially related with Shampoodle: I really love getting to change hair cut and color, nose and mouth and eye shapes, and eye colors at will. I love playing around with my in-game appearance, and as someone who's non-binary, it's nice to be able to alternate between eyes with/without lashes! But even aside from that, it's fun to get to change my hair multiple times a day depending on what looks good with what I want to wear (I typically cycle between 2 colors and 3 styles). I hope in the future Harriet does something like coming to visit to run hairstyling classes, and selling color contacts (and maybe other things but that's a different topic), because they did cut one of my absolute favorite hairstyles from New Leaf.
It’s both funny and sad that Harriet was put out of a job by any old mirror lying around.

Being able to move anything anytime. I’m so glad we can display furniture outside and decide where villagers are placed. No more ruining flowers or houses in odd places ;u;

Nothing was going to stop me from buying the game, even if it was an NL port. But when I tuned to the AC Direct at 6a PST, for the next 30-ish minutes, my jaw lay firmly on the floor as I watched in awe the footage of furniture display, aquarium stacking, inclines, bridges, terraforming, and mind-blowing graphics. What wasn't going to be in the game was of no concern to me, all I cared about was the calendar moving faster.

Moving furniture like in Happy Home Designer (at least before the nl update), furniture outside, and definitely terraforming.

Villagers can't move out on their own.

Being able to put houses and buildings where you want is also amazing.

All the extra outside customization they added. It's so nice to be able to terraform, move structures, and place furniture outside. I didn't like in NL that stuff like benches and lamps were construction projects, so if you placed them 1 tile off, you'd have to demolish and redo them. Plus the limit on outside furniture was annoying. I know those two things are still problems for bridges, inclines, and buildings, but I'm glad it's at least not there for furniture anymore.

Which one? :0
I haven't noticed any missing tbh, but also haven't thought about it at all.
It's the girl's "I like to be left alone!" style! It's short and fairly unisex looking but also very cute and was also my go-to in pocket camp and HHD (and for two of my characters in NL). I don't feel like taking out my switch to cross-reference right now but there's I think 8-ish styles missing. They also cut the really cute pigtails (the 'date' ones) :c

I love all the fashion choices and that you can easily go to your closet to change any time

and the ability to place items outside is amazing =w=

It's a tie between crafting and displaying furniture outside! The big difference is, I knew I wanted the outdoor furniture thing (especially since so much furniture was outdoor themed, and I just always felt it looked bizarre inside), but I'd never really thought about crafting... but now that we have it, I can't imagine the game without it!

And I NEVER thought I'd see the day where there'd be an AC game where you'd get an axe BEFORE a shovel

Oh yeah, I wore both of those a lot too. Bummer.
The "vintage" option for girls, that has like a combed-back look, just doesn't look the same in NH either.

Yeah it really doesn't :/ I mean I definitely like how it is now (I like it for punkier vibes), They really got rid of all of those sorts of looks (the one with the bangs too)

there are a lot of features i absolutely love, but my absolute favourite is probably island designer. it did fix a lot of my minor annoyances and it's just really useful overall for a lot of players.

That's what I liked it for in NL! Glad that wasn't just me.
But idk, it just didn't vibe for me this time (even with the red hair!). I'd love to see how you styled it for NH c:
