What inspired your Animal Crossing town name?

Mine's Journey.

I created the town to join the One Year Challenge here at TBT and wanted the name to reflect the new start and possibilities. It is kind of a journey to see your town grow and change through time. I wanted to emphasize the process of building and enjoying it.

My other town's Ajassa. It translates to something like 'a place in time'. There wasn't really any inspiration behind the name. It just came to me.

I'm a Buddhist, so I decided to name my town "Nirvana" and then try to live in it in ways that encourage kindness, compassion, service to others, etc. It has been a fun experiment! To help keep me on the right path, I recently created an alternate character, Bante, who is a monk that takes care of all Nirvana's flowers and trees - and who lives above a free school where he teaches weaving, offers meditation lessons and education about Buddhist principles and practices, and invites villagers to offer seminars about their unique areas of knowledge and their special skills and avocations. Being a monk, he is a vegetarian who does not pursue wealth or own anything. He and his school/residence were built by - and are supported solely by - gifts from villagers, the Mayor, and Velvette, who is another alternative character who established a free public library and free dessert-oriented cafe in her home. It has been interesting to watch the villagers try to adapt to Bante, who will do anything for them at any time . . . except catch a butterfly or fish!

My town name is called Ellrea. The reason for that is I was reading a book series and one of the cities was called Illrea, so I thought I might as well call my town that.

readvil mostly because i was thinking about bread, it was going to be breadville but character limits have limited my town. i recently restarted the town due to lack of bells

Alwind
Probably came to me suddenly. :p
Also thought of my parakeets...

My town name, Orieii'O was named after my OC, Orie, which stemmed from the word oreo :)
Lol. Sorry for being confusing xD

Starview. Well, I always liked the Kirby game series and space/galaxy/star-related things. Plus I find myself staring at them sometimes at night. Especially when the moon is out. Hence Starview!

For Cyclone, well.. The idea of random villagers being sucked in by a tornado and then being tossed out into the void sounded hilarious to me. Instead of naming the town Tornado, I picked the name Cyclone.

Dinoland: When I got my first game I had just left my job in Dinoland USA at Disney's Animal Kingdom, I would have named it Anandapur, because that's the "kingdom" that Asia surrounds in the park, I also worked on Everest, but it was too long. I was a little homesick.

Caniche: My newest town is Caniche, I was going through google translate and putting my favorite things and words into other languages, I really love poodles, and Caniche is poodle in French.

I started my second town just to have another town to visit, maybe farm for animals for my main town, and have extra shopping. Since it wasn't to be a "real" town, I called it Mirage. And, quickly, everything fell into place in this town and it became my main town. And now, it's really my only town.

Mine is 'StarPine' I was using a random name generator thingy when it gave me two different names and I liked them both so I took the best bits and got Starpine :)

I thought New Leap was a cute name for a town of all frog villagers, but then I liked all my starting villagers too much and it just became a regular old town haha

Anthroia: "OH. RIGHT. I HAVE TO NAME MY TOWN. uhhhh... well, it's a town of anthropomorphic animals.. Anthro... Anthroia...? yeah... that sounds like it might be a town."

MilkySky: I wanted a cute town name, and i used the dream address to check if names I wanted were already taken (it's just easier for people to find your town if it has a unique name). Lullaby had like 7 pages, Milktea had like 2 pages-- eventually I just sat down and started mashing things together. I looked at it from my kid mayor's point of view. "what's something I would have thought of when I was little?" I really like milky stuff, and milk images, and thinking about a cloud-coated sky with hints of blue and pink just made me think "Oh! Milky sky!" And I asked the forums here, people thought it was cute, and it's still my favorite town, lol.

Hitachi: The Hitachi seaside park that's filled to the brim with different flowers. My favorite part is the sea of blue flowers... <3

Sleepy: Yee, this is just my Sleepy Cycling town, wanted it to be easy to identify and I only cycle when I'm half-asleep xD

My town name is Storge! I got the name from an armour set in Montster Hunter but the actual meaning of tge word fits well with animal crossing, I think. It's one of the greek works for love, specifically natural affection between family and close friends.
