I actually really love my town layout since I've never reset and this is actually my own first legit ac game. This map was the second one that Rover gave me to choose from and I never thought about it until I came on to ac sites and saw people talking about their ideal town. My town has alot of what people want in it though apparently, which I never knew was so popular until I showed them around my town, but I guess that's a good thing since I like it too
I guess if I ever did decide to reset or something my main things I would look for would be pretty similar to what I already have except for a few changes.
Private beach, only if they're tiny so that I can breed a few flowers, but not have a ton of land that is inaccessible.
River that stretches from one side to the other, needs to be windy enough that it's interesting.
Train station and town hall need to have primary colors: red, blue, green. Nothing lavender or dull looking.
Very few ponds, one is best or two if they are symmetrical.
Plaza either in the corner of the town or in the middle.
Retail close to the station. <-- Wish I had chosen something with this, it's a such a hassle when needing to sell turnips and stuff.
Waterfall should not fall to the front and not have that weird mini-round bump thing next to the waterfall or lake portion of the river.
I have most of these actually except for the retail and plaza part so I'm very happy with my layout. I just need more room for pwps and villager houses since I think my river was a little too windy to fit everything nicely.
