Hiya!

I came back to the game and reset for a fresh start after what feels like an eternity. I reset a few times to get a map I was content with and ended up with this one with a long beach and peaches (my second favourite native after cherries.) I was happy with my house being near the beach, too, but then thought it could've been nice in that gap near the waterfall. I'm also now having a few doubts about how clustered Re-Tail, the town hall and plaza are. Seeking some second opinions on the potential future space for PWPS and such!

i think it looks good in my opinion! you can create a kind of "town center" with all of them close together. where you have your house now is close to all the buildings which is convenient and it's also facing the ocean and a good distance from either beach incline. next to the waterfall would look very cool and you could add a bridge so you can have easier access to the "town center." if you find later that everything's too close together for proper decorating, you could always reset again!

ahh thank you!!! i should clarify, the waterfall realisation came a little after i'd already placed my house by the beach but i do like that it's close to both of the beach inclines! the town center idea is a cute thought!!!

i was thinking i might put the future cafe in one of the circled spots? seeing as my house isn't in one of them now

oh man i totally forgot you can't move your house in new leaf where you have it now is ideal in my opinion, close to the beach and pier (for easy access to tortimer's island) and close to the other buildings and campsite, it's going to be really convenient for farming bugs and fish on the island! i like either position for the cafe. the one on the right would be close to the town center and your house and the one on the left i think would look really pretty, close to the beach and a bit secluded. mine is also in a similar spot and i like that it's kind of a respite from the rest of the town, it gives it a really relaxed, seaside cafe vibe.

so the right one is actually on the opposite side of the bridge but it would bring something to the north side but the left one close to the seaside and waterfall would be super cute i think!!

you're welcome!! the one on the right you could also add a bridge closer to the town center to make it even more "connected" to the other buildings! my vote is for the one near the beach waterfall because it makes it stand out and like you said it would be a really cute spot by the beach and waterfall! overall, i think you got a really lucky layout with the long beach and the grouping of the amenities!

the beach waterfall would be such a lovely location! and thank youuu! i originally wasn't sure about everything being so close but it's definitely grown on me! i'm now starting to debate things like the campsite and the police station, such a joy to return to this game honestly!
