What Controller do you use to play New Horizons?

Just wondering what controller people typically use to play NH with, since the switch allows us to use so many different controllers.

I use a GameCube controller as it’s a really great controller, and because I play smash bros a lot as well. Only use Joycons when I play handheld mode.

I use joycons 'cause I always play handheld mode. My joycons drift like #"%&¤&"# tho so it's pretty frustrating atm.

I use a Pro I got for Christmas. Otherwise I’d be using GameCube.

I’m too lazy to dock my switch and do the whole set up in order to play on a bigger screen so I stick with my joycons!
Though even when docked, I just play using my joycons as well since I haven’t bought any other controller yet. Not really sure if I’m going to buy pro controllers or third party ones because they’re a bit expensive, especially the pros, and I’m not sure it’d be worth it if I’m not using them that much.

I mostly play docked, so I'll use a pro controller for all the games I have (unless Joy con is needed). If I do play handheld, then I'll use the Joy Cons.

I mostly play with joycons when it's docked or I'm playing handheld. My one joycon drifts a lot though, so I might start using my pro controller.

Joycons. I switch between docked and handheld depending if I'm trading or chatting with other people on discord. I'm thinking of getting the pro controlers for my birthday. Hopefully they'll still be in stock.

I always play with the Switch docked and the game on a computer monitor. My elderly eyes reject handheld mode with a little screen. And with a pro controller.

My joycons gave me a lot of trouble. I won't be replacing them.

i use a 3rd party controller for pretty much everything, bought an official nintendo pro controller but haven’t wanted to buy any other nintendo controllers since mine drifted out of the box... makes it impossible to play games like hollow knight.
the controller i use is an 8bitdo controller, the sn30pro+. it’s comfortable, looks good, and has lasted for like almost 300 hours of gameplay at this point lol. no drift yet!! plus it’s cheaper than the pro controllers.
it doesn’t have motion controls but i don’t really need that tbh

I use an 8bitdo SN30 pro+ for all games. Idk why but I’m always too lazy to dock my switch so I just put it on my play stand. It took a little while getting used to the 8bitdo but it’s really good quality. Been using it everyday since I got it. It has long battery life too and charge it every 2 days-ish. I do switch between handheld and using a controller when I play lying down.

I just use the default joycons attached to my switch (I usually play in handheld mode)

I've debated getting one with one of those turbo buttons because there are a ton of repetitive actions in the game like bulk printing NMTs, wishing on stars, crafting stuff like fish bait, etc that were going to give me rsi if I did them too much.

I've mostly loosened up so I'm not looking into it as much as I once was, but still I think it would be pretty nice haha.

I normally play handheld so joycons by default. Occasionally play docked when I forget to charge switch so will then use pro controller.

I love using the pro controller, and while I do use the joycons from time to time (mainly when playing handheld mode), it's just much easier to use. It fits into my hands very well, and i've found that I just feel way more comfortable using it, whereas my hands usually start to hurt after a little while when using the joycons/some other controllers. Another good reason to use it over the base joycons is the fact that there is no drift at all with this controller, which imo is a good enough reason to splash out on the pro controller as is. While the £50 price point is quite high compared to 3rd party controllers, it's been the best controller i've ever had for any of my consoles, and I am very happy with my purchase.
