I use pro controller in tabletop mode since I kept having issues with drifting with joycons and so far haven't had any drifting issues and it feels more comfortable to use as well than the joycons.

I use joycons. I always play my switch handheld (unless I’m playing in Smash Bro’s, then it’s on my TV). I just like playing in handheld so much more, and I’m blessed with not having any drift in my controllers.

I've only used handheld mode and my joycons once for five minutes to make a trade. Primarily use my pro controller with my Switch hooked up to one of my monitors. (y)

I use the Pro Controller for most games on the Switch, including New Horizons.

I only use the GameCube controller for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, since I've used the GameCube in every Smash Bros. game since Melee, but I don't use it for any other Switch games because it doesn't have all of the buttons available on a Joy-Con or Pro Controller and thereby misses out on certain functions depending on what game you're playing.

I never use the Joy-Cons. All of the talk of Joy-Cons drifting has scared me off from them. I've barely ever touched them, outside of the first month or so that I owned the console.

The joy cons only when I'm playing in handheld and the I use the pro controller for everything else :D

Joy Con drift plus terraforming is a fantastic experience.

I use a pro controller for all games, the drift is horrible.

I usually use my joycons since I play in handheld mode a lot. When I dock my system, I still use my joycons a lot (even though they have some slight drift) but I also use the 3rd party animal crossing themed PowerA controllers. My brother got them for me for my birthday and I find them quite comfortable to use! The only issue is they don't have the amiibo scanner in the joystick, so sometimes I'll swap back and forth while I'm playing.

My favorite controller of all time is the gamecube one but I haven't used them for ACNH at all, I didn't really think of it which makes me feel dumb! 😂

Pro Controller. I see people often talk about JoyCons drifting, so no point using those.

The Nintendo Drift controllers. Super handy when you want to walk to the left of your island while you get your hands full with reacting on the bell tree forums :) The character will just walk by himself while I'm typing this message :D

Joy-cons it is.. but the "joy" is overrated when starts drifting again :')

I mainly use the pro controller, though if I'm playing while I'm working then I'll use the joy-cons.

Here's what I use to play ACNH:

While it looks like a Gamecube controller, my Switch identifies it as a USB pro controller so uh, I guess I'm technically playing with a pro controller (I'll check off both Gamecube and pro controller). Anyways, I've had this controller for a year and a half now and I'm glad I have it. The joycon drift problems are one of the reasons why I play with it. Without having to worry about it, I can just play normally without having to fight unwanted inputs. Also, it's recently coming to my attention that I'm making weird button presses with my right hand lol.

There isn’t much “joy” in trying to get something from your inventory and ending up taking 10 minutes for a slingshot only to miss it because your character moves to the left. Pro Controller FTW. Never used Joy-Cons since.
(too many splatoon sessions ruined by drifting, too many)

I use the joycons in portable mode and I only play portable mode because of the Satisfye grip. Without that my hands would cramp up so fast. I'll use the pro controller for TV mode.

I only have joy-cons so I use those! I mainly play in handheld, though sometimes I'll play on my tv.

Joycons. I'm usually in handheld mode when I play ACNH.
