What are the most common island names you’ve seen?

I'm just here to see if my island's name shows up 👀 👀 👀
I don't really pay a lot of attention to island names...

I’ve seen a lot of Astoria’s too

Anyone who has an island named Astoria: does that name come from anything?
It may have been said, but Astoria, Oregon US was the setting of Goonies. My island name is ExIsle...haven't seen another one of those yet.

Is there an inside joke with the Pen name or something??? I don't understand, is it the pen-apple-pineapple meme made into animal crossing, or am I lost?

That being said, I haven't noticed any island names being repeated really. But I also don't pay much attention to it, haha.

It’s a middle school joke. Pen Island if you shift the space to the right two letters.

I see a lot of moon and Luna(r) stuff as well. My experience is pretty much limited to this forum though. Also seen a couple Wisterias.

Thank God I'm decent at coming up with unique names. I never met anyone with my town name in NL and I have yet to see one use the same name in NH as well.

kindave a different thing but I see a lot of "X Isle" Island which is funny because you know they didnt think island would get added automatically

I actually looked this up before I made my island. I got the game about 2 weeks after launch. So my dialogue is like x is moving to Yarn Isle or welcome to the Yarn Isle Airport. Instead of Yarn Airport or x to moving to Yarn.

Not a specific name but I see a ton of different Japanese names written in romaji. That just tells me it probably belongs to a weeb (no offense to any of u weebs reading this). Another common theme is cottagecore rustic sounding names and tropical names (makes sense for islands).

I've seen a ton of Outset and Hyrule islands - Wind waker is my favorite LOZ game so I think Outset is neat, but Hyrule has been so overused in every AC game LOL

Also, like other people have mentioned, anything related to the moon is super common

Mine is Adelwood, which I haven't seen another of (from Over the garden wall), but I've seen a lot of wood-related names like driftwood

Rosewood is pretty popular but mostly in new leaf i think. My NL island was Rosewood and my friends NH is now Rosewood too!
So far i havent seen another Cinnamon though

-Castaway
-Paradise
-Corona, Coronaless, Quarantine
-Moon of any variant
-Honeydew,
-Aokigohara
