This is the "uneven rock" and cliff area I have to terraform if I want to put log stairs leading to the beach. Anyone taken care of this? If so, could you please give me step-by-step instructions on what to do? Don't want to accidentally destroy the whole and have to lose all my island progress and, as of right now, once I get terraforming, this is the only project with the app I plan to do at all.

You can't terraform that beach at all, unfortunately

You can only put inclines on the ground area. Not beaches. So you would have to terraform the cliffs in order to make space for inclines. The space where the green is.

Ok see, the problem is it won't let me put inclines on these cliffs because of the rocks on the beach. So even if I terraform the cliffs the rocks will still be there, making it impossible for me to inclines down at all. That's it, I give up. I'm officially crossing stairs leading to the beach off my list.

how do you even get there? I tried yesterday but I can only get on the rocks, it won't let me walk onto the sand. i haven't unlocked terraforming yet so maybe that's why?

Well I didn't unlock terraforming yet either and I could get onto the sand. I have no clue why it won't let you, to be honest. Maybe if you share a picture of your secret beach, someone can help though.

Maybe I'm missing something but you should be able to perfectly fine, just need to cut away at the cliffs a few blocks! Here's what I did, although I've seen many put the stairs centred on the beach which'd work too:

It kind of helps. I just need to make sure I dig in the right places to avoid messing up, which is my biggest fear when using terraforming for any reason. I would like to make mine centered, but I'd also like to do two staircases as well, one for each tier. But even if I can't do centered, having one staircase per tier without digging into the cliffs to mess up the natural environment too much is my ultimate goal.

Unfortunately my beach is a bit more closer to the center acres of the map then it is closer to the sides of the regular access beaches, so it's a little harder to work with from side based construction. At least from what I can tell.

I believe just because of the size of the secret beach, it's impossible to center an incline. If you want a centered path leading up to it, it needs to be 1 square wide only

Well then I may need to have people who have built successful inclines leading to their beaches come take a look at mine, after I've unlocked terraforming, to see if they can give me advice on how to minimally terraform but still get the inclines to lead to the beach. If need be I can share my island's map so people can see where the secret beach is.
