Weeding Day, likelihood of PWP or runner up prize

Just posting this here because I thought you needed a rough high amount of weeds to get the runner up prize, about 50. However I was looking to get the PWPs of the day, but instead I got the runner up (Rose Sofa) ....because I had 1 weed. LOL. My town is covered in a few clovers, but that doesn't affect it. I guess it happened because when I loaded up the game today, a weed was generated losing my chances. So no weeds what so ever in your town on the day if you the PWPs, even if you pull them, they most be gone beforehand. As far as I know.

Time traveling back to the day and see what happens because I want those PWPs lol.

Anyone else can confirm or got what they didn't expect?

When I had 1 weed, I got Rose Sofa, too.

I didn't get weeding day because the other day I reset, but my son did, he went to talk to Leif and he told him he needed to pull all his weeds, so he went and pulled 1 weed!! LOL Leif then gave him a violet screen.

I started a new save file today so I could check if there were any weeds, which there were none so I just began playing as my mayor. I got the PWPs. That could be a method to use if weeds don't generate like campers.

You can still get the four Town Cleanup Prizes when you get the Topiaries, you just need to delete and recreate a fourth character after getting the first three items, and get the PWPs with your mayor. I personally just wanted all four items once so I reset if Leif gave me multiples, didn't take long!

I was really pleased with the Town Cleanup prizes, cos the Violet Screen and Lily Record Player were the two Weeding Day items I wanted, plus of course I reallllly wanted those Topiaries!
