Was your first campsite visitor a smug villager?

I got Raymond as the first camper on my first island but I got Gloria,a snooty,as the camper for my second island.I was totally expecting to get a smug but I got a purple-haired ducky instead.I posted on an earlier thread that Gloria had the same dialogue as Raymond and someone on the same thread speculated that it could have been a glitch to get a snooty instead of a smug.I took these screenshots:

My villager was smug, Hippeux. Ugh. Like I could ever forget him. Lol.

The campsite has been pretty good to me ever since, which is sad, because I have never been able to take any of the villagers that came in the campsite. Today I got Victoria. I had yet to see her in person. I love the horses and she is particularly adorable, but I already have two Peppies. I gave her a chance to see if she would replace Cheri, but sadly she did not. I teared up having to leave her.

Yes, been playing since launch so it must have been in the first or second week, and it was Colton.

My first camper was a smug--Marshal lolol. And if it helps, after my starter jock and uchi, the 3 personalities I had were normal, peppy, and lazy. Then my 6th villager was Marshal.

Raymond was my first campsite villager (super lucky ). I'm surprised that people have had other villager personalities though. I thought the first camper was always a smug.

Wow! That’s super interesting! I bet it is a glitch, then, since different personalities are supposed to exhibit different dialogue. Thanks for sharing!

Yep, was Kyle. Got a Lazy, Peppy, and Sweet from islands, then the Smug showed up at the campsite.

Maybe, it was a 90% chance to get a smug villager, because that would explain the statistics of the poll as they are now.

I got Shep, who's a smug character.

He's also an absolute dude who saw off Marshal when it came time for one of my smugs to leave.

Mine was Dom the jock sheep and not a smug boi or gal.

I'm guessing not getting a smug villager is an outlier but yeah. . .it's a lil disheartening to see people say the forced campsite move-in is always a smug because that's not true.
