Wait, do the flowers in your Nook's change?

So since launch I've been pretty adamant I've always had the same four flower seeds in my Nook's. Granted, I don't check daily, but I've never noticed anything but those four being there. Even when my Nook's Cranny upgraded, I swear it was always the same, and I started buying flower seeds frequently the past couple weeks/since the upgrade because I found out about genetics.

However today I decided to go get some red pansy seeds... But my pansy seeds are gone?! And in there place are tulips which I've never had be sold at my island?!

Is this normal? Am I an idiot who has never noticed that the flowers rotate in the shop?

I think they rotate seasonally! I tt'ed to move some of my villagers out, and I got roses and mums in the summer and winter when I never had them before! : )

I believe it's every 2 weeks the non native flowers rotate..

WOW. I thought I had lost my mind. This same thing happened to me with hyacinths being replaced by windflowers, but I had never seen it brought up. Good to know. I'm not crazy, this is a mechanic.

Yeah my windflower seeds are gone and they have been replaced by tulips, which I don't mind. I wish the pansies were gone though, lol.

Yes, the two non-native flowers rotate. Leif will also always have flowers different from Nook's Cranny. They will also stock your native flower though, so if you somehow forgot, it will be the one that is always there.

I noticed that there are 3 flowers.

The first is your Island flower.

The second is your rare Nook Mile Island flower. These are the normal colors of what appears on your Hybrid Island.

The third is a random flower from the remaining type.

The first two stay the same forever (I think), while the third one seems to change every week.

Apart from your native and sister flower, I believe the flower selection actually changes depending on the month.

My native is lily and my sister flower are tulips. Last March, I got Hyacinths on sale. Windflowers last April. And now, roses. Next month will probably be different.

But there's Leif and you don't have to wait long to get the other seeds.

I got roses for the first time after more than a month of playing and finding only pansies, tulips and hyacinths in addition to my native flower so yes, they do rotate/change. I dont know how it happens or if it is just random, though.

My island flower is Rose and my island Hybrid is Pansey. I have had those two in my store since day 1, and they have never changed...

Sorry, I didn't complete my thought. I've had roses and pansies on Hybrid Island. Also my second and third flower seeds do change, I've just not kept track of it.

As I said I time travel a lot (currently in July).

I don’t really buy flowers from Nooks cranny that much unless if Leif is here selling non native flowers.
I‘ve had hyacinth, windflower, pansies and tulips as my towns flower since the beginning so I’m unsure if it may change or not.

mine don’t. i’ve only had mine sell tulips, hyacinths and windflowers - i read somewhere that they’ll sell different flowers each season/month but i’ve yet to see that so i’m not sure if it’s true aha

Omg I haven’t checked the cabinet in a couple days. Hopefully they’ll be selling roses. It’s the only flower I don’t have yet.
