Villager reset trick

Ok so I've tt ed to the 7th day so that's when the villager is most likely to move in but they are not showing up. I've done it about 10 times and a villager has plotted twice. Am I doing something wrong?

I think even at the 7th there's a chance a villager will move in, of course it's a bit higher but it's not 100%. I've had no one move in even after 7 days so keep searching day by day and check your town thoroughly! I missed a plot on day 6 and I had to pay the price: Hazel.

Yeah, I've had villagers show up after 8 days before, sometimes more. Maybe just try tting one more day?
