villager house bug!

hi! >_< so recently i moved in Cookie using an Amiibo card and Cookie took Frobert’s place but when Cookie had officially moved in it was still Frobert’s house as the exterior but inside was Cookie and all of her furniture, etc. now I cant move the house and the exterior is still as if it’s Frobert’s house. i tried to move the house but when i placed it down it just didn’t do anything like there was no construction and now i don’t have the moving kit (RIP 50k bells) - if anyone knows why this has happened or how to fix it can u pls let me know :c

my last resort is to kick Cookie out and then invite her again using the Amiibo and see if it fixes this

I've heard if you kick a villager out using amiibo then time travel to get them to move in it will normally cause the amiibo villager to take the same exterior as the previous villager, which is annoying. I've never actually heard of the second thing though with the construction, thats super weird :O

my friend experienced that glitch! she kicked out coco with skye's amiibo and now skye has coco's house exterior. other than that, there really isn't much wrong with the villager - if you'd still like to get rid of it, however, i'd suggest you kick her out and try to scan her card again. that should fix the issue.

If you do kick her out again to move her back in make sure theres an empty plot, rather than just kicking someone out. Waiting a day instead of time travelling may also work

it’s really weird bc it’s only happened with cookie and not the other villagers that i scanned and time traveled to get them in !! ahhh i’ll try kick her out / move her back in tysm!!

update! it’s fixed! cookie decided she wanted to move out herself and i just scanned her amiibo and moved her back in and now she’s living in the correct house, etc. happy days! <3
