I've been rethinking my dream villagers as of late. :/ I have them all (one of them is being held in my second town), but there are some that I've been thinking of replacing. I'll give some back story to sort of how I picked the villagers and what my town is about.

I named my town after Laverre City from Pokemon X/Y because it was just a beautiful town. I loved the fall state that it was constantly in, and fairy was also one of my new favorite types. I first picked my villagers based off of who I thought would fit the fall season, a few of my all-time favorite villagers, and who was french. Well, lately I've been thinking that I don't have enough french villagers, because there's more that I don't have than what I do have.

I currently have Chevre, Beau, and Cousteau. The ones I don't have are Jacques, Marcel, Gaston, Charlise, Blanche, and if there's anyone else, them. Villagers I thought I would be happy with but I either haven't really spoken to much or I just honestly don't like them as much as I would another villager are: Marshal, Willow, and even Beau.

With Marshal, I've had him for a long time, but I haven't really ever became good friends with him. I honestly think that I only wanted him because he was so popular and I thought people liked dream towns with popular villagers. But I have realized that whenever I visit a dream town with the same tier 1 or 2 villagers, that it's really boring, and since I subconsciously don't enjoy talking to him, I'm thinking I should replace him.

For Willow, it's basically the same thing. I think she's super cute and thought she would fit my town well, but I don't talk to her as much as my other villagers.

Now, Beau is a different story. He moved in unexpectedly, so his house isn't in an ideal spot. I have tried to work with his spot, but I find myself going off-path, where his house is, to navigate in my town efficiently. I have made a single tile pathway that goes by his house and where he plopped on my main road, but I'm just not very happy with how that area of my town is. I can't plant trees or bushes so it's just really flat and boring. I would much rather have trees where his house is and be cutting through that than be cutting through because he messed up my main path I had there. I love him to death, but I'm on the fence if I am willing to cycle out 16 villagers to get him back since I have lots of my town done and also I have most of my dream villagers, so it could take a while to get those villagers I'm cycling to move.

So my question to you all is should I replace these villagers I mentioned above? If so, should I replace them with villagers I really love, or with the french villagers who go with my town and that I'm fond of? Also, if anyone has any villager suggestions that they think would fit my fall/slightly french theme, feel free to post!

I think if you don't seem to like Marshal as much and aren't attached to him it might be a good idea to let him go and maybe see if you can get another dreamie with him. I think Willow you could let go too if you aren't talking to her much and Beau i think it's up to you. But if it was me and his location is bugging me now, it would bug me more in the long run but that's my opinion

I feel you when you said it gets boring going to dream towns and you see the same popular villagers over and over again and yet I have some of those popular villagers lmao.

I'd say replace those villagers you don't find yourself fond to anymore to those that you really want, that would make you happy. You can try to mix it up with getting the villagers you really love and add the french villagers that you're fond to and would fit your town theme.

I would also try asking people for their dream towns with the villagers you want to have in your town. that can help you to figure out if that's really the villager you want in your town since you can interact with them. hopefully that helps a bit and good luck (:

Okay, thanks for the input! ^^ I'll see if anyone else says anything before coming to any conclusions. :)

This is going to sound totally cheesy and lame, but follow what your heart is telling you :) if your first thought is to give him away, then do it. If your first thought is to keep him, then keep him. If you want to solely dedicate your town to a certain theme -- villagers included -- then do so :) Ugh I sound so lame saying that, but I dunno. Just my train of thought haha

well if your tired of them i think u should replace them and anyways there is always a 16 cycle if u regret moving them

Yeah, I think I'll let Marshal go if he asks to move. Willow, on the other hand, I still need some PWPs. Thanks for your input! ^^ Much appreciated!

That is very true! Thanks!

let Marshal and Willow go.

Beau... is kinda of hard. If you don't like him very much either I would say to let him go.

But if you like him, then you should cycle him. But that'll be probably hard if you have many permanent villagers already. If you have too many permanent villagers, I heard that the quickest way is to p much move everyone out, cycle everyone and move everyone back in. It sounds painful imho but worth it if a) you really like him b) you can't work with his spot

I totally understand not being able to work with something, and it will not change in the long run. It's better to fix it now!

Oh wow, I had never thought of moving all of my villagers out and back in! That wouldn't be too difficult since I have a second town, and my boyfriend also has one. This helped a lot! Thanks! ^^

Just a heads up if you cycle them out you have to have 16 villagers move out before you can invite him back in when he's in boxes

it's a good plan because it adds to the cycling very quickly. if you move them in in(?) the same order you moved them out, you got 9/16 on the cycle already!

Wow, yeah that is a very good plan! I'll more than likely end up doing this! I can always plot reset all of the cycling villagers to my undeveloped part of town so they don't kill my trees, bushes, and flowers I have.
