Gifting villagers handheld items...

So, I'm currently in the process of gifting my villagers a bunch of cute clothes so they'll have more variety. But that kinda got me thinking... What if you gift them the items you can get from Redd's Raffle, for example?

I know that you can gift them tools and umbrellas, both of which they'll use (aside from frogs not using umbrellas, AFAIK? not too sure, I rarely have any frogs living on my island...), but will a jock villager use a dumbbell, for example? Or will villagers with the fashion hobby carry the handheld bags you give them, rather than that pink handbag with a flower on it?

I definitely want to test it out, but I'm a little scared of gifting them something they can't even use, and then messing up the 24 gifted item cycle that I've got going

I would imagine they would just decorate their house with it. Same with some of the clothes/accessories that they can't wear that end up getting displayed in their house. I've seen a lot of my villagers use the dumbbell for example. It would make sense that jock would use the dumbbell the most out of all the personalities, but I don't really think I've seen Buck use them once. I see other villagers like Willow (snooty) using it more than him and it really seems odd that her personality type would use it more than a jock.

I think I remember gifting one of my villagers wallpaper or carpet thinking maybe they would change their layout, but I think they just dropped it in their home. Good luck with your attempts!

I want to try gifting one to see their reaction now. I've never had them react negatively to any clothes I would give them. On my alt island I started to just randomly gift them shirts and stuff to get higher friendship points and they would comment about it sometimes not being their style, but would always try it on anyway.
