Omg chrissy pinged me a few days ago and said she wanted to move i said NO. however iv loaded my game today and was told shes leaving :-o shes in boxes, how the hell did this happen? She never mentioned moving again at all after i said no.

Not only is she an original villager but shes one of my dreamies gutted

Is there anything i can do?

When you say no, did she mention that she is staying? I have once that Alice, even I said No, she refused to stay back and telling me she no longer want to spend anymore time here. For you, try talking to her again and again until you get the chance to say No, Don't go!~ There is chances you still can change her mind while she in boxes~ Hope someone else can give you a better answer.

Unfortunately there's no way to stop them after they're in boxes.

Did you save before you stopped playing the day she asked to leave?
Have you time traveled at all?

Ah, I'm so sorry! I didn't even know it was possible that they will go in boxes even if you tell them to stay. Now I'm kind of scared for my villagers... xD

Yea i saved atfter telling her no,she said she was stayin and i talk to her everyday nd she never mentiones it again.

If she's in boxes, she can't change her mind. It must have been a weird circumstance where she was picked to move again, because usually telling them no means you're safe.

Im just suprised because normally they mention it a few times afterwards as when eunice told me she was moving she mentioned it a few times.

Ok so i spoke to her, i def cant change her mind, she said "im sorry i didnt tell you sooner" cant believe this has happened, she told me she was staying after i told her to stay,i will definately be keeping a closer eye on my villagers from now on.

My strange thing was the opposite of yours, 2 of my villagers were telling me a certain villager was thinking of moving, but no matter what i did (go to the beach for a while to make the villagers "forget" about me so they'll ping, save&quit and come back into the game, etc.) that villager just wouldn't ping me telling me she wanted to move! But the NEXT DAY, she did! ;0

Seemed my villagers knew who was going to move before the moving villager even decided! o.0;;

Lol its just so weird iv never had a problem with villagers moving before

What must have happened is that she was picked to move at random again and you must have missed her ping then.
If you tell them not to go, they always listen - I've had different villagers want to move at least 20 times and each time I told them to stay, they would. They can only have a change of heart if you tell them to buzz off.
Villagers will only mention that someone is moving if he/she is outside at the time (and by outside, I mean in your main town, not on the street, re-tail, shops, etc.). So if you don't catch the "moving" villager outside, it is likely that you will not find out they're moving. I find those game mechanics rather stupid but that's just how it works.
Also, villagers will not ping on special events.
