I don't get this at all... When I came back to Australia, I literally walked through customs-I just had to get the food out of my bag, that was all. Even when I left I wasn't searched :S

I personally think this could be solved simply. Don't worry about it. It's not as big as it sounds. Besides, I'd rather sacrifice personal comfort than instead of personal safety.
As long as the TSA screens the guys they put in charge of the body searches. Wouldn't want some pedophile to be groping you in the wrong spot. It's also better than constant x-rays for frequent fliers.

That's... something entirely different. And English immigrants only make up a fraction of the ancestry of the typical white American.

I have English blood, but like most of the people in my state I also have Scandinavian blood (from Norway and Sweden). But if you go to, say, Pennsylvania, you're bound to find a lot of people with German heritage.

Again, there is no such thing as "American blood".

Good point. Considering America is basically a giant melting pot, there is no American blood. To have American blood, one would have to be of Native American decent. Even the people that "founded America" were British and the like.
