Honestly, I like having tourists since it makes my island feel a bit more alive and I like seeing the animals I don't have.

But my big concern is that if I reach 8 hotels finished (I only have 4 guests today, but I finished 6 rooms, with 2 recently done today), I feel like the game might lag more due to more tourists on my island? The game did feel a bit laggier since I updated to 3.0.

Also another issue I have is that I see less of my villagers. But I still think its an interesting feature.

I always thought it would be a cool feature to have this in New Leaf. I remember either here or somewhere else talking about it the possibility of a pwp hotel where villagers could walk around your town and go in shops and stuff. So it's really cool to see this feature now after so many years later.

I think it would be even better if they had the chance to move in if you had an empty plot or could suggest them moving in. It would just be one more option for villager hopping for those that want it without having to rely on the campsite, nook miles, and those without amiibos.

I haven't noticed any lag yet, but I did transfer my original island to my Switch 2. I'm sure its really laggy and awful on the Switch since my game loaded so slow and some spots struggled with pop ins or my villager walking like they were stuck in goop and I never had a really crowded island.

I like it but I haven’t had any villagers I hate yet 😂 it’s nice to see more of a variety of villagers though. I do think they should let us switch it off, e.g. asking Isabelle or leilani to confine the visitors to the hotel and not have them wander the island

No. I put time and effort into my all bunny island I don’t want random tourists walking around. I love the new items I think they are awesome I like decorating more rooms but i wish there was a way to “toggle “ off the tourists from walking around my island I never see my own villagers anymore I hate it

It's such a cool addition to the game. I enjoy watching the random villagers wandering around HHP, and before this update I had wished there could be more visitors on my own island too. At this point I consider most of my villagers as permanent residents, and while I love them, it's really fun to see some more variety.

I love having tourists as my town is built to be a tourist destination. Having said that I wish that they had given you an option on whether or not you want a hotel. I also wish there had been a quest to build the hotel like the other buildings.

I like the feature! My villagers haven't changed in ages, so it's honestly nice getting to see all these different villagers that exist in the game, along with seeing some of the villagers I let go from my island ages ago. I can understand why some people might not like it, though, given how the game has existed for almost 6 years without tourists being a thing.

I didn't like it at first but it's grown on me! I like seeing the different villagers wandering around and I'm going for a sort of tropical city vibe so it fits my aesthetic just fine haha. I have a switch lite and didn't notice any real lag tbh

I don't know how to feel about it. Having a handful of random villagers roaming around my island and shops who don't belong is weird, and they don't offer any meaningful dialogue.

I would vote no, but the fact I get to choose the outfits for these tourist-villagers makes it manageable. And to be fair, in New Leaf, you would have random villagers roam around Main Street.

I think the hotel gets right what the campsite got wrong. The villager at the campsite should have been able to roam around the island and visit shops too.

I think it would be even better if they had the chance to move in if you had an empty plot or could suggest them moving in. It would just be one more option for villager hopping for those that want it without having to rely on the campsite, nook miles, and those without amiibos.

It would be great if we could invite them to live on our island.

I love that they can walk around. So far I have only had one walk around. I wonder if there is a max number of how many will walk around the island. I have wanted to see the campsite visitors around the island. I can see why some wouldn’t want them to walk around. Too bad you don’t have the option to turn it off. I do wish they could be more interactive and join in on the K.K Slider concert. It would go nice to see them talking to the villagers.

Honestly I do wish they had just a tad bit more unique dialogue too but aside from that I've been loving it, my island finally feels alive lol! Love being able to see all the different villagers that I would normally not "go for" with the limited slots and all

I love it! Makes my island seem more lively and bustling, especially as they tend to stick to the shops and town square area. The residential area is on the other side and often pretty barren, so I also enjoy that there's overall more life there too now as my villagers tend to stick to that area now.

Benches that have seen no action ever are sudden tourist hotspots, and I love it!

It's nice. It makes my island seem more alive. At least they go to places where my lazy residents don't seem to want to go near of.
My island is full of nothing but squirrels and bunnies (many I had for years now), so it's kinda funny at times seeing a large bear walking around outside along with them.

Not only that. They can visit the island again and remember you from the last time (just like your past villagers).

i noticed that they can be your old villagers! i find that really nostalgic actually!
small tip (blurring it out in case you wanna figure it out yourself!) : ) (don't wanna spoil anything for anyone!)
also, tip: if they walk around with a speech bubble around them, and you speak to them, you can lead them to the hotel and make a room for them. this gives you the last final nook miles ticket achievement

i personally think it's cute and fun to see random villagers walking around, wish i had the megaphone though! lol

I love tourists so much! At first I was a little uncertain how to feel about the feature, what if someone I really don't like shows up and then sticks around for days? But it's only one day and I'm really happy about it! It's actually pretty cool to meet villagers I don't like very much knowing they will be gone tomorrow. I'm always like "let's talk while we can, this is your only chance to make me like you" 😜

And my island feels so much more alive now! Also I love the variety of visitors!

Oh and today Raymond visited and he remembered me! That was really cool and sweet. He seemed more likeable than I remembered him 😅

While I love it all so much I understand why other people might not like it, or even hate it. I also think that we should be able to decide if we want random visitors on our island or not. And the ability to invite tourists would be much appreciated too, even if the process was a little challenging. I mean if they love my island so much they should want to move in, right?

At least they use the furniture I spent time placing. Putting it to good use.
