I've been working towards getting Antonio's photo. I chat with him as much as I can and try to give him a gift everyday. Anything else I should be doing?

I got Rodney's photo the other day just from giving him some fruit! I think it might just be random once you've got enough friendship?
there are guides out there, but what i've seen floating around is that you have to work your friendship up to a certain level and then they can randomly gift it. if u talk to a villager once a day that increases your friendship points, if u complete tasks for them that increases your friendships points (dont accept a task then not complete it bc that will decrease ur friendship points, but if u just refuse a task it does nothing). wrap any gift you give to them because gifting them something already gives u points, but wrapping it gives extra. great gifts to give are non-native fruit & the hanging terrarium or the iron wall lamp. villagers dont put things on their walls unless they already have the item and swap it out, and they only have 2 specific wall slots that none of them use for these 2 recommended items. ppl have said that once u gift the villager 32 of the iron wall lamp and hanging terrarium, they will probably put one of them on their walls. these r just things ive seen in said guides.
Give them wall hanging furniture that sells for more than 2500 bells. They won't put it in their house so no worries about that. I clear out my storage and wrap any wall hanging things I don't need but i think it's even better if you craft them so the iron wall lamp is good.
I also read that once your friendship is high (they run up and ask you for things, etc) you can start giving them non-native fruit with a full inventory. That way they can't give you bells but will send you a gift. I don't know if it's possible to get a photo in the mail though - anyone know?

It’s possible, but I’ve only had it happen to me after attending a villager’s birthday party. I got both Raymond and Cyd’s photos in the mail after I gave them a wrapped non-native fruit as a present.

I've only ever gotten one photo so far and it was after I went to his birthday (of course before that I was giving him gifts and talking to him everyday)

Ps, when you give them gifts make sure to gift wrap them first because you get more friendship points if it is wrapped.

This. Also, once they ask you to change their catchphrase, you should be at a point where they could gift you their picture. If that's the case, wrap a gift and give it to them. If they don't give you their picture in return, then hit the Home button (don't save), close software, then go back in and try again until you get their picture. I got my final three in one day doing that thing, and it took less than 30 minutes.

it takes a little longer im sure compared to going the normal route (like gifting clothes or furniture) but i gifted my villagers fruits every single day. did this bc i didn't want to mess with their interiors. also sent them letters and did their requests whenever they ping me (like delivering parcels). probably took me about a month to get all 10 of my villagers' photos.
Many have suggested to give iron wall lamps so I've been doing that, but recently I realized most of Judy's star garlands are gone
It hasn't affected anyone else's wall-mounted items except Judy's though, probably because the others only have like 1 or no wall-mounted item while Judy has 3 garlands across the wall on all 4 walls. I'm guessing wall-mounted items get displayed except it stays invisible?People trying to get Judy's photo beware, give non-native fruit instead.
I just craft them the iron clock or iron wall lamp or seasonal wreaths It's still hard and random, like my starters were the most stingiest in giving me their photos.

I gift them wrapped hanging terrariums every day! Once you reach max friendship with them, it's random (I think around 10% chance).
