When I first started playing I time traveled to get the game going but other than that I don’t time travel anymore unless I really have to like to cycle villagers out or give someone an item from my catalog. I always travel back to real time. I think time traveling is great but I don’t do it as much as I use to
I do it mainly to cycle villagers in and out from my other island to my main and vice versa. Sometimes, I also do it to farm items and DiY if I need them to decorate an area or room but I try not to abuse. I don't go out of my way to get those event/seasonal items so I could complete my catalog or something. I'm too lazy for that lol
I never tt through the first parts of the game because I wanted to fully experience it. I started tt when I finally got my three star island, and honestly, I don’t think tt is bad. Some might argue that time traveling is considered cheating, but even the creators said it isn’t!
I was rigid with the idea of time traveling but I hit a snapping point when I did the rock spawn technique. So I TTed because I couldn't stand shimmying around mannequins plus I kept making tons of mistakes and I was losing my mind. I only use it when I'm feeling real impatient.
Personally I like the slow game play and do not time travel, but I don't mind if other players do.
I have made a few exceptions though mainly regarding my dreamies, and had to TT a few times to get open plots. (I always TT'd back to the current date afterwards.) Now that I have all my dreamies, I don't plan on TT again. Other than that, I did TT 3 days during the first week of the game because I was impatient to get town hall. I ended up regretting this though, and that's why I have not really TT'd much since!
However, I also am at a point in my life where I have more free time than usual, and if this were to change, I could see myself TT'ing here and there if I ever missed any major events.
I don't time travel, but I'm fine with others doing it. I've time traveled in past games, but I haven't at all on my island and I don't plan too.
I feel like when I time travel I spend all my time doing that instead of spending time with my villagers. That's just my experience with it!
So, I am fine with others time traveling, I just don't want to do it!
I personally don't like to TT unless I need to. Meaning, I won't unless I either need to get a villager out asap (like if someone has a dream villager I want in boxes) or I missed an event (ie bug off, fishing tourney, a holiday, my birthday, etc.)
I don't TT and I don't mind is someone does. I have been wanting to TT because it sucks having to wait 2 weeks for someone to get a thought bubble and then having a unsuccessful Villager hunt. It's worse when you have siblings who time travel and they keep pressuring you to do so and teasing you about them having your dreamies. But I'm trying to push through the urge.
I don't TT, nor do I want to, because I enjoy playing in real time and being able to take things day-by-day. That said, I have no problem with those that do TT. After all, it's their game, they are free to play it however they choose.
I think its good and bad, good for the fact its nice being able to TT villagers you want out and in so you don't need to spend forever trying to move an exact villager out for half a month and if no one is selling your villager you want then you have to wait another half a month and thats so on and that can just take way to long. I don't TT other than that because I want my dreamies to make as many memories with them as I can so I dont want tons of my time spending time with villagers I don't particularly care about. I think it kind of ruins the game otherwise, but if people like doing it, so be it, its not my say if they are having fun or not. Personally I like playing the game how it was mean't playing a bit a day, and going along with each season, its nice
I have no problem with others time traveling. I will be doing a bit more of it next months to check out the events I missed by getting the game later. Funny thing is the one time I time traveled to catch the bugs and fish I could have got if I bought in at the beginning it actually kick started the wedding event when I returned. For some reason the game hadn't let me do the wedding pictures before then.
I've only done it a few times, once to complete an incline because I kept accidentally speaking to Lloid! Also by the time I've had a lie in and walked the dog on a Sunday, it's usually too late to buy turnips, so sometimes I turn the clock back for that and would do the same for events I missed due to real life. I started the game late so I can't say I've not been tempted to TT back for Sakura season, but also I know I can get to see it next year instead.
But it takes so long to load the game that I wouldn't want to TT repeatedly in one go.
Used to time travel in past AC games, but so far I haven’t time traveled at all in ACNH, and plan to keep it that way. Fine with others doing it, but it’s not for me.
I like playing day to day. I've time travelled I think twice? Once was I bought the phone customisation, tried to design my irl phone but it warped it and looked horrid I didn't know it was a one use thing so I ordered a new one skipped ahead a day, then went back immediately. The other time I missed turnips so I went back an hour to be able to buy them aha. I remember considering it to speed up the first week (when villagers were moving in 1 by 1) but I didn't end up doing it. And I also considered it when I moved Nooks, Ables and museum 1 space over so it took me 6 days to move all but I didn't end up doing it.
If someone else does it doesn't bother me. It's their game and their island if that's how they'll best enjoy it then go for it!
I don’t have a problem with others tting, even though I never used it on my main island, but I had to tt on the second island so I could catch up with my main.
I never time travelled until I used the campsite method to get Raymond.
Since then, I've realized that I prefer to use time travelling to move an islander out. If not for time travelling, I would not have been able to adopt Dom when he became available. So, to me, it's a useful tool. I don't use time travelling for anything else. I enjoy experiencing the seasons one day at a time.
