I mostly don't have much I wish to remove from NL so here's a list of things I want to add in NL:
More furniture in present balloons, not just the balloon series. This is why I don't use the slingshot anymore
A bigger map to hold 15 villagers in a town
Bring back sending letters to players and add more lines in your letter

Show me your ares and aren'ts

I haven't even gotten past this first post and I LOVE your "ares"! A Super Mall would be so fantastic that I would be in bankruptcy heaven. The more houses in HHA is a must! I reset and lost all the old ones! I never thought they would go forever especially since some were Nintendo Homes!

Aren't - The repetitious dialogue you get every time you talk to Lyle and every time your inventory is full and other places I can't remember, but it just annoys the heck out of me.
- So many rocks and ponds. A few are fine, but sometimes there are seven! I mean, come ON!

Are - More people can go to the Island
- being able to add FC's while your gates are open (but I guess this isn't possible?) It is hard to have people want to come over for a special event or something and you can't let them in because you'd have to kick everybody else out of your town first.
- Hedgehog villagers
- More storage
- The ability to visit villager's homes even when they aren't at home
- Interact with the other characters either you create or your friends have in your town
- Talk villagers out of boxes on their moving day
- More hair options in Shampoodle. Longer hair would be nice.

Aren't:
Villagers wanting to leave more than once a week, it would be way nicer to get them pinging once a week than having to go everyday or there's a high probability of someone leaving town;
Villagers checking your pockets, do they have some kind of x-ray vision or so?

Are:
Some kind of option that once activated it wouldn't allow villagers to leave town if you wouldn't enter the game at all. Imagine someone gets sick and can't touch his/her ds for a month or so, returns and baam. There would be less frustrated players;
Some hidden treasures on the island and beach;

Wow just now I've discovered about moppina o.o. Althought I have met only 2 normal villagers so far, I never heard them saying anything about it.

I also agree with the grass wear, I don't even run in my town and my grass is disappearing anyways

Yay! I'm not the only one who would love longer hair!

In the Super Mall there should be, probably unlockable, a Gracie Grace knock-off store. Hee hee! Well, it sounds nice, anyway. But an outlet store is tempting. Maybe there can be a shop also where you can get more stuff to hold in your hands besides an umbrella and a glow want. Maybe walking sticks? Purses? I'd also LOVE a wig shop if the longer hair at Shampoodles is too difficult to create.
