The most you've seen anyone overcharge/undercharge on an item?

I saw someone (i think an old user who was just returning, and didn't know the rates) wanting to buy 1000 NMTs with TBT and a person offered to sell them for 2000 TBT. It's not much of a difference considering the single item, but eeevery body knows they're worth 1:1, and in bulk that made a difference of 1000 TBT.

One time I was offering a free gifted Rodeo on Nookazon, and I gave someone a wrapped nook miles ticket once they took him because I was glad he was going to a good home. They lol'd and dropped what I thought were 4 nook miles tickets. Except when I picked them up, they were stacks of 10 each - for a total of 40 nook miles tickets for a free item. They said he was their last dreamie and they didn't need NMT anymore. I had hardly any NMT at the time so that was a huge deal to me.

Prices tend to vary across communities. It's also important to remember that the price someone wants to sell something at isn't always going to be the price that people are willing to buy something for.

Case in point: Raymond prices when the game first came out. I remember seeing auctions where he was actually sold for like, thousands of NMT! I always thought it was a bit ridiculous because prices would eventually go down in the future and he was only one villager, but I guess some people really wanted him quickly.

I paid around 25-40 TBT for individual Mom's knapsacks a few months ago. I think I've seen them go for as low as 5 TBT now? I wouldn't really call that overcharging though, considering that I was very willing to pay those prices and it was when items were a bit more scarce/trading was in higher demand.

As for undercharging, I've come across this when I've attended giveaways or when I've traded DIYs for DIYs and not taken into account the relative value of each one (eg. a wreath DIY for a non-wreath).

Can’t really think of what the most/least I’ve seen someone charged for an item, but I certainly know what I have done personally. When the game first came out I paid 500 TBT for the entire zodiac set DIY set. Probably absurd nowadays. On the least end, I was charging 5 TBT per 1M bells. I now have settled on 10 TBT since 5 clearly made the bells go too quickly for not enough profit. Recently, I paid 4M for a Zucker photo. Shows you how desperate I was to get it back!

Back in April I saw someone on discord offering to craft cherry blossom lanterns for 500k each, and you had to provide the materials. Me and someone else I was trading with were laughing at them in our messages lol.

UPDATE: If anyone thought they'd spent a lot of money for an item, I'm about to blow yall outta the water - I'm purchasing a stand mixer given to someone by Raymond for a million bells. No, this is not a joke

I had someone want to sell me an item that costs around 3000 IGB to order (reorderable nook cranny item) in exchange for the equivalent of 500k IGB...I politely passed but yea...a kind user offered it for free which I still gladly tipped 100k just because I appreciate the people that don't overcharge for simple items.
To an extent I don't really mind things overcharged but certain things are just too obscene.

Haha... kinda ironic... read the post above yours 😅

I usually sell them at a loss. But nobody wants them unless free. I ended up sending them all to the garbage bin.

3000 bells for my extra Moon DIY…

I hate sounding like a ~ToXiC~ Nookazon trader, but… seriously?

To each their own, but I’m not spending 60+ NMT on the Mush Lamp recipe with the next season being fall.
Also when people overcharge for furniture like bruh, no Nook’s Cranny furniture should be over 4 NMT at most.
In my opinion, nothing in the game should cost over 400 NMT, including ungifted Judy, Raymond, whatever ‪¯\_(ツ)_/¯‬

I think I wanted to purchase an autumn / fall DIY (it was the leaf chair so nothing too flashy) and the person wanted >100NMTs and tried to start a bidding war between me and someone else. I didn't reply afterwards...

i had someone try to charge me 99k for a baby bear once, an item that costs 1,800 bells to buy from nook’s cranny lmaoo

Once you've obtained it you should put it on display behind some iron bars and charge people 99k to visit and look at it.

I put a nova light diy on Nookazon a while back, a bidding war commenced and somebody paid me 100NMT for it!
