The Anime Thread

I've seen some. I've been wanting to watch more, but they just took it off Disney+. How are you watching it?

With Crunchyroll of course! I use it for pretty much any show, unless they don't have it there for some reason and it's on Netflix or something (which was the case with JJBA part 6).

I’m glad you’re enjoying Fairy Tail, @/Midoriya!

I’m usually turned off by long-running anime. I was deterred from watching One Piece for so long due to the length despite finding it interesting. That all stopped when I decided to watch the first episode and ultimately kept going.

Just popping this link here, it's the site I always use when I want to watch anime, like toilet bound hanako kun or a silent voice, or even cartoons like gravity falls or scooby doo! It's a really good site with loads of different genres. I know most people on this thread probably have their own preferred sites to use, but I decided to leave this here just in case.

I’m currently on the Crunchyroll free trial. I wasn’t sure if I watched enough anime to justify it, but for some reason I thought it was more? The cheapest plan is $7.99, which honestly is not a bad deal.

I don’t need the offline listening, though it would be nice on flights. I think I’ll explore the free trial and see how I feel in a week when it’s up. I’m assuming the episodes are uploaded earlier on Crunchyroll than they are on the above site, correct? I’m asking, because the above site has a good catalog and it’s what I was using, so I’m asking the benefits of having a paid Crunchyroll subscription.

I don't know about compared to the above site, but episodes are uploaded to Crunchyroll pretty much as soon as they drop in Japan. For reference, when I was watching MHA S7 an episode would drop during the early morning of the U.S. in Japan, and it'd only take 30 mins to an hour for proper subtitles to be added. It's relatively quick.

I'm up to episode nine now of Fairy Tail and REALLY, REALLY loving it so far. The main characters are great, the action is great, the humor is great, and it's a really fun show. Also, my friend and I both have Erza as our favorite character, XD. Can't wait to watch even more! 💚
I'm glad you're enjoying Fairy Tail so far! Like any long running shonen anime, there will be arcs that are not as good as others, but overall it's a really fun show.

Erza is an awesome character! Don't blame you one bit for liking her. She was an early favorite of mine too. There are so many characters you still have yet to meet. It'll be interesting to see if she remains your favorite throughout the length of show.

Also, I'm curious to see what you think of the soundtrack. The fight music always gets me "fired up"!

Yeah, for sure! I ended up watching the entire 720 episodes of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden without skipping a single episode, not even the filler, so I'll probably do the same with Fairy Tail. It just ties into the fact that I don't drop any anime I watch and don't skip anything either, even the movies.

She really is great! To be honest I find it hard to believe I'll end up liking another character more than her, but who knows.

Oh, the OST for the show is amazing. I've loved everything I've heard so far, and I feel like I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of the show's OST as a whole. I do wish some songs were more easily categorized and easy to find, however, as it does feel like that's a long-term problem with anime as a whole.

I'm at around episode 12 now and getting to the next arc, can't wait to watch more!

I recently finished the first season of the Pokémon Horizons anime and loved it. The final episode gave me all the feels, and I can't wait for the upcoming season in which Roy and Liko Terastalize their Pokémon.

@Midoriya Glad that you started watching Fairy Tail! Started watching it back in 2014, though I mainly read the manga and liked it a lot.

I'm up to episode 19 of Fairy Tail now and still really enjoying it! Just finished the Galuna Island arc, and it was pretty good. I can't wait to see what comes next! 🤩

It's time to continue to ascend the tower! Tower of God season two... is here! 🪜

Viole/Baam reunites with Khun, Rak, and everyone else for the first time in a long time. However, not everything is resolved as even though they've survived the tournament, FUG is still at large. Reflejo contacts Viole/Baam and says that if he wants to save Hwaryun, Horyang, and Novick, him and his allies must successfully rescue them at three different locations.

Endorsi and Hatz are sent to deal with one of the locations, which is guarded by the Mad Dog Varagarv and another skilled opponent. Arkraptor and Yihwa rush to the other location to save another ally. And last, but certainly not least, the reunited team of Viole/Baam, Khun, and Rak must work together to find a way to defeat Reflejo and save Hwaryun. Unfortunately for them, Reflejo has strength that is out of their league, but noticing something, Khun begins to devise a plan to defeat him...

Next time on Tower of God season two, episode twenty-five. THE PENULTIMATE EPISODE! "Return of the King." You won't want to miss it! (y)

I finally finish the first season of Oshi no KO.

It was fine, I liked the premise but the progress on the main plot line was slow for my taste. After hearing a lot of people aren't happy with the ending of the manga too I may not watch further.

But in good news, now that Spy x Family: Code White is on Netflix I'm going to watch it for Christmas! :lemon:

I was wrong in a previous post, Disney+ still has 4 seasons of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. I'd still like to know why other things have been removed, and why I'm blocked from Ranma 1/2.

I'm not blocked from Ranma 1/2, they have 7 seasons. Disney+ also has One Piece up to season 11.

I'm noticing a lack of ovas and movies. The only legal way I'm aware of to watch the One Punch Man ovas is to buy the bluray sets.

I finished the first season of Windbreaker. It was recommended to me by someone a while back and I got really into it.

Constantly judged by his physical appearance, Sakura (the main character) adopts a delinquent persona that others have projected onto him and moves to Makochi to attend Furin High, an infamously rough school known for its delinquents, to fight his way to the top.

I’m looking forward to the second season!

I'm up to around episode 23 now of Fairy Tail and still really loving it! Just started the arc with the Phantom Lord Guild, and I'm interested to see where that goes. I'll be back later as well with a recap for Tower of God. < 3
