Are you doing anything special for Thanksgiving?

I was going to go down to San Antonio to see my relatives, but I'd rather not see them.

My family & I are just going to have a Thanksgiving dinner, I guess. c:

Every Thanksgiving I'm just like "Wow, this is so boring. can we really celebrate Thanksgiving?"

I'm going to think of something this year, I tell you! >:O

whatboutchu?

I'm gonna go to my school to eat dinner with my other classmates families. It was against my will! If I don't go my classmates are gonna hate me :'( CURSE THIS SCHOOL!

We don't eat food on Thanksgiving because eating food is unhealthy...unless you eat some of Jas0n's glorious chicken.

Normally we just have a meal at home but this year we might visit my cousins. I love Thanksgiving, but the best part of it is the left overs!

We have a Thanksgiving dinner, just like every year even though we don't live in the US anymore. I guess traditions never die, no matter where you live.

I'll probably just spend the day with my family and then we'll have some dinner (turkey and other essential Thanksgiving foods).

Am I the only one who has Macaroni for Thanksgiving dinner?

Like, my brother is in love with Mac & cheese so we had it for Thanksgiving a couple of years ago.

;]

We have a Thanksgiving dinner, but show no traces of patriotism.
Same with Christmas, I show no traces of religion.
And all the American holidays about Independantness and soldiers, I just stay home and be happy that I'm not at school.
That reminds me, this one guy at school, he was like, "Do you celebrate Easter?". Then I was like "My mom says that I'm too old for Easter."

As you can see, I celebrate holidays without being patriotic or recognizing it religiously.

Thanksgiving - Peace between the pills and the Native Americans.

I do not recognize that while celebrating Thanksgiving. I just eat the food.

Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada. Thanksgiving is a holiday to express thankfulness, gratitude, (and/or appreciation to God), family and friends for which all have been blessed of material possessions and relationships. Traditionally, it has been a time to give thanks for a bountiful harvest. This holiday has since moved away from its religious roots.

It's not really about the Pilgrims at all.

Thanksgiving isn't really about Pilgrims. It's what Al said, but the Pilgrims were just the ones who started it, I think. :S

Hasn't school taught you anything?

The Pilgrims came to America for religious freedom as well as other things. Most of them were Anglican (I know it was some form of Christianity or Catholicism, I'm not going to bother to look this up), but some of them wanted to be Lutheran or another stem of said religion. So yes, they'd thank God for giving them freedom and the other things they had.

I might be going over to a friend's house this year. The football games suck this year unfortunately. :(
